Well, we're laughing at him, not with him... if his ego is big enough that he can pull a Tommy Wiseau and get's off on it, not really much we can do about it. Wait a minute... no... that actually might make it funnier.
I will now always hear his posts in Tommy's voice.

get's

get is? In possession of get? That is really weird that I put an apostrophe there.

Glad to help out. Personally, I can't shake hearing him as Forrest Gump with a bit of a generic Asian accent. Tommy Wiseau voice sounds like more fun though.

Is anyone having issues with GIS?

Ok, so here's my problem with GIS.

Back in the day (circa 2010?), you could hover over an image and select "copy image location" and then paste that into the forum (although you'd have to delete some junk google code).  The advantage was twofold:

1) It kept the image out of your cache, so you'd know with a simple post preview if the hotlink was going to fail

2) It kept you from actually visiting the site the image came from, which is always a good idea when you aren't sure where you are going

Recently (circa 2010?), something changed with the google coding.  You could still use the same process, but you had to select "copy link location" instead of "copy image location."  No biggie.

All of the sudden, neither option works anymore.  Both just give you google junk code, and I can't figure out a way to find the hotlink path without visiting the site it came from.

HALP!!!!

EDIT: Ripplin, your cat link worked, I'm guessing because it uses the old (non-popup) style.  Is there a good way to access that without having to remember what to type?  What's this greasemonkey script thingamajigger?

I just added it to the bookmark buttons near the top of my browser.

Greasemonkey is a Firefox add-on that uses scripts that people make. I mostly use it for workarounds to stuff I find annoying, like forced changes at Google. I've had to use it in a few places where they "upgrade" something, if you know what I mean. I do a search and sure enough, within days, someone has figured out a way to harmlessly force Firefox to may it like brand old. ;)

Thanks.  I'll give it a shot.

And a new (brief) clip is uploading right now, so shut your cake hole.

IT'S MY TRILOGY, AND I WANT IT NOW!

"Yeah, well, George says a lot of things..." a young 1997 xhonzi on RASSM

"They're my movies." -George Lucas. 19 people won oscars for their work on Star Wars (1977) and George Lucas wasn't one of them.

I've got to hand it to Google, they may have SE'd the GIS but you can still get the original version without playing around with scripts or other monkey business.

Just scroll down to the bottom of any GIS page and click the "switch to basic version" link.

Ah, but you're gonna have to do that every time you do a GIS, as they haven't added that as a permanent option. (unless they have by now, but that was part of the reason why people made the Greasemonkey script)
