"The other versions will disappear. Even the 35 million tapes of Star Wars out there won’t last more than 30 or 40 years. A hundred years from now, the only version of the movie that anyone will remember will be the DVD version [of the Special Edition], and you’ll be able to project it on a 20’ by 40’ screen with perfect quality. I think it’s the director’s prerogative, not the studio’s to go back and reinvent a movie." - George Lucas

Anyone have/remember the old A/B cable? Growing up I remember the channels were 1-22A and 1-22B, and there was a little black switchbox hooked to the cable box you'd have to flip.

Yep. I used to have that for my NES for years!
Anyway, quick question. So, yeah, I'm in the middle of making a new video, and I need some help. Um, when you download a font, how do you actually... use it?

Windows? Right click the file, and hit install. It should copy/paste into your fonts folder. Alternatively you can go to control panel in classic view and copy/paste the font yourself into the fonts directory.
Speaking of NES, my toploader Nesie (or if you want to be lame and not name your consoles, the NES 2) is probably going to retire. It only uses RF cables, and all three of the ones I have (1 original, 1 bought to replace, and 1 with the second NES I bought after breaking the first trying to take it apart) give me excessive interference. TV, I don't mind static - but with Nesie it's horribly excessive and only highlighted by our nice big TV. I hate those wavy lines SO much!

Thanks, bkev, although I'd already found the answer through Googling. But, for some reason, it's still not working. When I tried to try it out in Word, it said there was insufficient memory or disc space. But more specifically, how do I use it for other programs, say image manipulation or editing software instead of word processing?

Aww, that is sad. Going to replace her with anything? I personally prefer the original front loader NES, replace the connector (usually -$10 on ebay or wherever you can find them) and they work brilliantly, and they look gorgeous to boot. I have however, always wanted to try out one of those two-in-one generic brand NES/SNES units. Be a nice space saver, would keep me from putting wear and tear on my classic systems, and the biggest downside being no place to plug in a zapper isn't such a big deal anymore now that I no longer have a TV the zapper would work with anyway. Still, I think it would be weird playing the original Zelda or Metroid with a SNES controller... I'd miss the old boxy two buttoned thing.

Go to C:/windows/fonts (haven't used Windows in years, and find my brain starting to get foggy about it), I think that is the place. Anyway, somewhere in your Windows folder is a fonts folder. Just drag and drop the font file in there (should be a .ttf or maybe a .tte file extension, if not maybe that is your problem, search for the font name again with a .ttf/tte extention), if bkev's install thing doesn't work, and you should be set. All your programs ought to get their fonts from that folder, so any new ones you add to that directory should show up in MS Word, Paint, PowerPoint, Photoshop, whatever.
Nevermind. I got it to work. Thanks for all of your help. For some reason, this font refuses to work in some places (like my editing software... it shows up as a blanks space on the font list and then refuses to type), but I was able to import it from paint.net as an image. Anyway, should have a new video up in a couple of hours.

I love paint.net! Woohoo. Also, CP, I don't know if I'm gonna replace her - rather, I think she'll be in storage for awhile. It's clearly an issue with the RF adapter/jack piece more than anything else - sure, the carts are a tiny bit loose in my toploader (they work better if I find something that shoves them forward), but nothing else is wrong. I may invest in sending it off somewhere to mod it for A/V for $50 or so.
Also, I don't recommend a 2-in-1 mainly because of the sound issues. I could NEVER play Super Mario Bros. the way the sound is output on a NES-on-a-chip.

I know. That's why I've been using it ever since you recommended it to me. =P

*puts on Yoda ears*
Not yet. One thing remains. Already respected, you are. All that remains is acceptance. One can not be respected when one questions one's own respect. When questioning one's own respect, others will follow in kind.

You are money, bkev. Don't give others the opportunity to doubt it.
I gave some bkev to a hooker but no dice.
So you gave her bkev but you did't give her dice? Were they 22 sided?
Ye?
Ok guys. Despite my reservations about the music library mentioned before, I've decided I will be attending the University of San Diego. GO TOREROS! It's a little bittersweet that I won't be going to the east coast to live closer to my family, but I know I'll love it either way. Just a little upset, because I don't really feel like this is the chance to start over I wanted. Then again, I always doubt myself when I actually make a decision.

Meh, there's no school spirit there anyways. That makes no difference to me :P
