I'm such a nerd. I saw the movie Paul the other night, and I liked the Empire Strikes Back t-shirt Simon Pegg wore in it so much that I tracked it down online and bought it.

It's one of those really soft, thin tees that they used to make in the 70s and early 80s, with an image from the comic adaptation of TESB. I can't wait for it to get here!

I've been waiting for Barry Lyndon on blu-ray for years, and then they go and throw it in this collection. Would be great, except there are some really lackluster transfers in this set. They're just re-releases of the individual BR discs and I already have most of them. I really hope they release Lyndon on its own.

This set is perfect for me because I only have one Kubrick film on blu(2001) and I wouldn't mind double-dipping to get the rest.

Plus, you get the book and A Life In Pictures!

And yes, Barry Lyndon and Lolita are both getting their own separate blu-ray releases.

The book?  I have the original (old) DVD collection with A Life In Pictures but what is this book you speak of?

I wish I wasn't a recent college grad with tons of debt, I really want to get a blu-ray player/hd tv, and this made me want it all 100000x more

That was my reaction when I first saw it.

Surprisingly cheap too!

Or you could get this for half the price!

lol

P.S. I agree that the cinematography in Gone with the Wind is just amazing, I wish they still made movies that way.

I want it on blu-ray though.

If you knew me in real life you'd discover how much of a tightwad I am.

Even if I can afford it, I try to get someone else to buy the item at all costs.

Anyone else do this?

Some couples split their money into separate accounts. I don't see how this would help things. Do they split the bills also?

Where did the term "carp" come from?

Odds are it was a xhonzi typo, although I don't remember for sure.

Stob is definitely xhonzi's.

A xhonzi never makes typos.  He only types precisely what he meant to*.

"Yeah, well, George says a lot of things..." a young 1997 xhonzi on RASSM

"They're my movies." -George Lucas. 19 people won oscars for their work on Star Wars (1977) and George Lucas wasn't one of them.

When my wife worked, we had accounts that were better separated.  And before we were married, but lived together, we decided that we would split the bills as a percentage of income.

But when she quit her job, I made her sign a prenup ;-)

DISCS of TRON!

I bought 6* Discs of Tron yesterday for $29.  So, I still have $46 from selling my Tron DVDs a couple months ago.  Yay!

I also got some games supercheap, but don't take my word for it.  You can read about it in the videogames thread. *bah-dahn-dahn!*
