Check the date out…should have been released in 1969. That’s great considering that it was made in 1978!!!

What is up with Amazon? This shouldn’t be on there, period.

They do that for all titles that get a large number of hits. It doesn't matter whether the company is planning to release something soon. They use this as a marketing technique. I gave it a five star review, myself, and gave good reasons why. My review is entitled: "A day in the life of a star wars family..." I, personally, really hope somehow, someday, in some form, it is released, preferably on DVD.

Maybe we should all go there and search for Star Wars original original trilogy.......then maybe that will generate a listing.......then we can all review it and get like thousands of reviews that say...WHY IS THIS NOT ON DVD!?!?!?!?

At one point they said that "the studio has no plans to release it", but they would "inform the studio" of the preorder requests, or something like that. I'm only dissapointed that apparently I missed it, because it was released in the 60's. Yeah, it was before it was made or DVDs were available, but the date just has to be correct. Its Amazon. LOL

Watching the Star Wars Holiday Special, for me, is like sitting on a cactus: An extreme amount of pain that lingers long after the cause has been removed.

I try not to take it too seriously. To me, it's an interesting look at family life in SW. It shows their everyday lives. I don't try to compare it to the main films. It's the same way with the ewok films.

I don't compare it to the main films. I compare it to every other piece of film or television I've ever seen in my lifetime. Then I realize how terrible it is. I'd almost rather watch the Democratic National Convention....
