ROTS - Original Soundtrack

I bought it on the internet and got it today. I watched the DVD that comes along first, very nice. It is hosted by Ian McDiarmid, which is cool, although he dosen't seem to care and seem to be reading from cue cards... Anyway, the music on the DVD is quite nice, although I'd like an alternate audio option with no dialogue, just the music. What I noticed is that on the "cantina" montage, you can briefly see a Greedo drawing sketch being hit by an animated laser beam - it's very quick so don't even blink. Perhaps a reference to the whole "greedo shoots first" thing?

I'm listening to the soundtrack right now. Very nice...
“Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.” — Nazi Reich Marshal Hermann Goering

It's weird that the drums from the introduction aren't on this CD. That was one of my favorite moments musically ...

And yeah, those overly 'researched' cues were lame at times.

Ric, what you suggest is probably the next project I'll take on.

I bought the soundtrack as well, and love the DVD that came with it. While I can understand you wanting to remove the dialogue from the music, @ least you can watch the whole thing without the Ian McDiarmid introductions. I personally don't mind the dialogue, since watching the disc made a nice prep for seeing Episode III.

Princess Leia: I happen to like nice men.
Han Solo: I'm a nice man.

There is already a correct thread on this.
