Did anyone else notice that in the ROTS doco, The Chosen One, there was clip of a new Phantom Menace CGI Yoda!!

He says the line - "Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to suffering"

How long until TPM Special Edition emerges?

I am sure there will be a Special Edition of the Prequels

talking of the Special Features i found this amusing on the commentry.

"they had to go back and film Obi Wan picking up Anakins lightsabre after their duel- he later gives it to Luke in Episode IV- because "we kind of forgot about that"

Also Lucas said he didn't realize why people were cheering anytime Tantive IV appeared on the screen. I don't know if it was McCallum who pointed it out to him, but come on George? It is the little things that make Star Wars great, and sometimes Lucas just totally misses the great things to tie the trilogies and instead puts in Jango Fett & Anakin building C-3PO! It baffles me sometimes that this is the same guy who made the original Star Wars.

I can see forgetting to go pick back up the lightsaber. Not because he forgot about the 'connection' but because he was shooting the scene as if the other films didn't exist.

People tell me I'm nuts for thinking the prequels were good and I hear this statement from the people MAKING the movies!!!!!!!!

I already threw my steaming pile of crap at Lucas.....I just wonder when everyone else is gonna wake up and follow suit.

This is as much of a slap in the face as we're gonna get. They don't even know the events in their own saga to make films to properly fit.

Well, at least they did remember in time to fix it. It's a rather important detail to leave out, so hell would have been raised over it. What we should be complaining about is the continuity errors they didn't address, too numerous to mention.

Um... nope. When is it? I watched the whole thing (not with undivided attention, however) and I didn't see this. Near the start or end? Somewhere in the middle?

I was amazed to see this.... It's almost as if they put it in their just to see what kind of buzz it generates.

And at this point, I'm surprised that not more people have noticed it.....

It was weird placed, it was right in the middle of Hayden's comments, with no proper introduction. Perhaps they were testing us to see if fans would not be pleased about it, so they know if they can make a special editon of Phantom Menace or not. I coudln't care less, I don't have The Phantom Menace DVD and never will, so I won't lose any money with that.

the funny thing with there being a cgi yoda for a future release of phantom menace is, that Peter Jackson is doing something similar with using the Gollum from Two Towers and Putting him in fellowship of the ring for a future release. Andy Serkis obviously should be used, that prototype gollum in the first one always bothered me anyway.

as for lucas, he won't stop just with the prequels, oh no. He'll completely replace chracters with digital ones in the original trilogy probalbly starting with artoo and yoda. But why stop there, he'll probalbly do a cgi lightsaber duel for the death star in IV, add the emperor in a new hope and show alderaan from the surface as it is blown away. Being unhappy with the actors original performances he'll do digital edits and redo them, adding lines to sync them up with the prequels.

See, the problem is that the things you're saying could come true. I mean look what he has done so far to the trilogy. Why stop? The best example is the added scream of Luke in TESB Special Edition. Then again he took it out. What about the "original vision"???

Well coming back to topic: A CGI Yoda would not help the movie. Although I do think that he is way better than the puppet in Episode I. But I don't see what could be added to a possible Episode I Special Edition. It's becoming more and more ridiculous...

Everybody is wrong about the scream in empire in the special edition, it existed in pre release trailers for empire strikes back in 1979-1980 but was not in the final film.

I suppose that's possible. I've never heard this before. But if that's true, it was obviously taken out for a (good) reason, and there was no reason to add it back in... and then remove it again.
