Aw, crap. God speed to the steely-eyed missle man.

So who's left of the 7? Glenn is still around. Is Carpenter? I know Grissom went first. Slayton died when I was a kid and Shepherd made the final launch a few years ago.

Man, I always wanted to be one of those guys. What an exciting chapter in history. It is sad that very few people under the age of 18 even know who these guys are anymore. It seems only Shepherd and Armstrong are highlighted, since they were the firsts.

Wally was the fifth American in space.
