In honor of our beloved Princess and in mourning of her tragic and unexpected passing, name your favorite Princess Leia moment from the Original Trilogy. You may also pay your respects.

I always liked when Luke told Leia their true heritage in ROTJ. Bit personal as you have to wonder what’s going on in her head. Another is when Leia senses Luke is in danger in ESB. Both are memories I’ll cherish.
Anakin killed women and children for a mom he didn’t give a fuck about (if he did, he would’ve done something instead of fucking around on Naboo). It’s as bad as Luke trying to kill Kylo in TLJ because neither Luke or Anakin are what the OT established: good men. It’s character assassination. Now, fuck off.
Nothing, in my mind, is more perfect than her first scenes with the rest of the gang. A pitch perfect subversion of the classic princess/damsel in distress archetype, and a reason why the film and the character are so delightful.
“Aren’t you a little short for a stormtrooper?”
“This is some rescue.”
“Somebody has to save our skins.”
“Into the garbage chute flyboy.”
My all-time favorite line of hers:
“You came in that thing? You’re braver than I thought.”
"Close the blast doors!"

My favorite line of hers was always: “I am not a committee!”
Also loved her cadence in the scene with Luke on Endor.
That scene was a perfect example of Leia’s inner strength. Anyone else would have had a nervous breakdown finding out someone they were romantically close to was actually their brother, and that Dad was the second most evil person in the galaxy, all in the space of five minutes.

I can’t name my favorite moments but she does have the best lines in SW. She gets rescued and then immediately takes charge.
I watched on YouTube when she was at CE II last summer and interviewed by Warwick Davis. She was asked lines from Star Wars and she had to know them. One was “There’s always a bigger fish.” and she was like “What, was that in Star Wars??”.
Then she and Warwick acted out her rescuing scene her lying on a couch and Warwick had a Stormtrooper helmet on. Warwick came to the rescue and waiting for her to say “Aren’t you a little short for a Stormtrooper” but instead she said “There’s always a bigger fish.” I laughed my ass off and Warwick probably did too inside his helmet.
And in the time of greatest despair, there shall come a savior, and he shall be known as the Son of the Suns.
In one old magazine interview I recall her saying she could recite the whole “Help me Obi Wan!” speech verbatim.
She also joked that she got such a huge amount of the toys sent to her, she would give away Kenner figures on Halloween.

In 2008 Carrie was interviewed as part of a show called “Bring Back… Star Wars” (original thread here). Watching again, the presenter Collins comes across as a bit of a perv, but Carrie takes it all in her stride, respect to her. There are even early hints of the affair with Harrison!

She was always the most humorous. Any link to that video?
I just can’t believe she died…
My favorite Princess Leia moment is when in TESB she’s forced to watch Han being frozen in the carbonite, which is also one of the best scenes in the OT. btw here’s a transcript of the day they shot the scene, with the actors discussing how to perform it (and with Fisher slapping the scene out of Billy Dee Williams 😄 ).

On top of that, I remember she strongly wanted to be Han Solo’s wife in the new trilogy 😃

A very small deleted scene in Empire Strikes back we are yet to see. The Blu-ray released in 2011 deleted scenes followed the 5th draft script to the very word but as you followed on through the script there was a scene with Carrie (Princess Leia).
While Han & Chewie were trying to fix the Millennium Falcon in a hap hazzard way sparks flying and Han screaming at Chewie “Turn it off! Turn it off!”
Leia walks past them gives Han a look and says “What a screw up” and then continues on to where the pilots are waiting to be briefed about the imminent attack.
Just Brilliant. And I would assume that does exist and I can hear her say it too.
But my favorite deleted scene in all that has been released from the Original Star Wars films is Han & Leia’s extended first Kiss on the Falcon.
Goes to show you how brilliant she was. And how well she played the part.

Here is a link to a story about Carrie editing the script for The Empire Strikes Back on set. She’s well known now as a script doctor, but apparently she got her start by tightening up Lawrence Kasdan’s script for one of the great films ever made.

Ahhhh but the ol’ gang wont be the same without her.
Carrie Fisher’s birthday is today, she would have been 65.
RIP.
