Ewe. Whats that dude doing to poor nien numb?

Sorry, I am still frantically seeding away, i just look in here every few hours cuz i get bored. Its good to link faces(as such) and progress here with the torrent, all i can see from my end is a big list of faceless IP addresses. For a while there, i didn't even know if any OT members were getting this or not.

A few are upto 50% done now so we may get a few completed and helping to seed by tomorrow night

I have a nifty little programme called instant handbrake that converts DVDs to mpeg-4 ipod compatible video files. I am running 'RTJ' through it at the moment.

Would anybody be interested in me making an 'ipod version' available online?

Yes please! I've been thinking about converting BE, actually, but one of the main things keeping me from doing so is wondering whether the subtitles will be too small to read clearly. Do you know?

Actually the software is hanging on the last frame. I do have a 1GB mpeg-4 version of 'RTJ' but nowhere to host it.

Hmm. Torrent, maybe?

How's the quality, and what were your compression settings? I've been playing around with iPod conversion a bit recently, and I'm still trying to figure out what works best -- especially with something like your films, which include lots of text to read.

What's the problem with the last frame? Is it just not finishing the conversion? I've found that sometimes, conversion software will say that all the time has elapsed for the project, but it actually has a while longer to go before the conversion is complete. I don't know Handbrake, so I don't know if it tells you what precise moment in the video it is converting, but if it does, it's possible that that conversion time estimate was off, and everything else is just catching up.

. . . but maybe that's not the situation at all.

i can make a 640*480 version wich plays on any ipod video with the new firmware (not just the "new" ones)

Cbaka Grooaoohumpf (Thanks). What sort of download speeds are you getting? Seems kinda slow and steady progress (5 hours and 11%), at least i'm getting you there. I know, newsgroups will blitz this, i used to use them, but they are tricky to understand and i was forever using paypal for extra download allowence for the bugger.

Jambe, a odd question just sprung to mind a while ago that i'd thought i'd throw at ya. Would you ever consider doing a fan documentary in the JDproductions style for the, er.........urm.......prequels(like ever, all things considered and someone will pay mega bucks for you to do so, like on their sort of say so, or just as a dare to see like if you are really talented enough to pull it off)?

Not a request on my behalf, just curious as to your attitude towards the subject of the 'other Star Wars' films in the sega'megadrive/genesis cartrige'collection. If my speed holds (about 100 kB/s), I'll have it in about 8 hours. Unfortunately, it looks like it just dropped down to about 30 kB/s. I'm just barely at 45% (I had to stop it last night for about an hour), but I might overtake the people at 65% in just a few hours. I'm slowly catching up right now.

I'll definitely be seeding this throughout the weekend and into next week.

My speeds are pretty consistent with lordjedi. If we ever have a release this huge in the future. It would probably be a good idea to pm the torrent out to select users who are able to seed for a consistent basis. (i.e. if say 5 of us had downloaded the file until completion and then released it publicly a day or two later, everyone would be getting better download speeds.) Not that I'm complaining at all. I feel we all owe a debt of gratitude to Darth Solo and especially the chef of this feast, Jambe Davdar.

Superseed mode would probably get it out faster to more people, It can take longer when you have a hundred downloaders the regular way. But I'm not complaining, a couple of days isn't much time to wait for a DVD DL.
There's good in the Original Trilogy, and it's worth fighting for.

The speeds have dropped because you are reaching the level of the top peers. I can only seed as fast as my connection allows (my 4MB connection is topping out at 38 to 58 KB between 131 leechers) and if i could i would push it faster. I would have done it more or less like you you suggested lybertyboy, but i couldn't wait to get RTJ out to people as fast as i could. But ultimatly, like i've stated before, patience is the key. You will get the rewards at the end. Thats why i'm crying out for seeders to stay on-line as some people have a greater broadband speed than i have. I've never used super-seed before, nor do i understand how it gets to you faster, I've just heard it does. I can actually feel the frustration/anxiety to get this, and i really feel for you all(but not in a homosexual way). But its gonna arrive sooner than snail mail....perhaps, would, and Jambe doesn't have to sell a kidney and give up his home just to get this out to the masses

The chief of this feast, like it.I keep meaing to quote, do not thank me - "bless the maker" every time i get thanked for uploading the torrent.

No complaints here. A couple of days of download is not much compared to how much time it takes me to get stuff from bithq or ADC.

Ash595 can you repost your cover somewhere other than rapidshare? it's stalling on d/l for me and now it won't finish up the transfer. And where's Sluggo's cover? Lastly, I don't see Darth Solo's cover from the 3-disc set. I see the standalone cover in Jambe's zip file but that's it.

That one got missed. I posted a direct link for the last cover from the spannig set on page 27 if you read through my posts. I also have a new single RTJ cover but i cant upload it yet for obvious reasons.

Some just have 8% left to go now.....
