Your feedback is great guys. I will be watching the whole thing through myself on my TV this week. It's amazing how much more you can spot when you watch it like that. I will also be making my wife watch it (my preview audience). It's always a good idea to have fresh eyes look over it.

Been a Lurker here for a couple of months, awsome site!! After reading up on both Building Empire and Returning to Jedi, I had to register here. The 4 min sneakpeak was awsome! I hope there will be a torrent for Returning to Jedi, as I don't preffer mail circulation, but if mail circulation is the preffered method, then I'm for it.

"Returning to Jedi' will indeed be Anamorphic with AC3 sound (saves lots of disc space).

Unfortunately I am still having problems with final rendering. Those green flashes (reported above) are still happening. I have managed to transcode some of the final doco to MPEG-2 but there seems to be no consistancy to the problem. I have reported it on both Kenstone and Apple forums but nobody has come up with a solution yet. As you can imagine, this is particuarly annoying.

I am now wondering if I am going to get this done a soon as I hoped. If I don't, I will release part two on youtube so that you at least get a JD something from me for Christmas.

I am going to try buy either ffmpeg or MPEG2Works to try their MPEG-2 encoders. Maybe I will have success there. I will of course keep you up to date.

UPDATE: Unforunately neither FFmpeg nor MPEG2Works encoder produced good results. I will have to persist in finding a solution with FCP/Compressor/Quicktime (they all use the same encoder and currently produce the same error). Grrrr!

Take your time, don't rush. If I was in your place, I would not want to release something thats less than what I it should be. If it takes a couple more months to work out the kinks, then so be it.

That clip was great! Hypothetically, if you cut everything that 'Simon' critic said and layed it over footage from the prequels, it wouldn't be out of place. Are we sure this wasn't recorded for TPM?!

LOL, that Simon critic was a trip. Where ever this guy is from ( He sounded a bit German or Soviet ) He was totally unqualified to critique ROTJ. I think Ebert summed it up pretty good sayingText "I don't know what he did as a child". If he grew up in Europe or the Soviet Union, he didn't spend it watching movies. Simon looks to have been heavily into books and/or the Opera in his youth. Something which would have been very common to him over seas as a kid.

So, I have decided to create a v.0.5 disc for my QC group (if you guys are still willing?) to look over. In
the meantime I will try to overcome the corruption problem when I use that
particular filter.

So in the next 3 days I hope to be sending out discs to:

This discs are not to be distributied any further, so please don't ask them to do so!

If you guys can look over the DVD for errors and speeling mistooks. Once again, any suggestions will be gratefully received.
