Thank Neon !! I will probably release the video in the next few days to people who want it , im going to try and remove the scratch and dust marks and that is pretty much it ! unfortunately i had to take the blu ray picture and lower the resolution to dvd size as the clip looked terrible in 720p
I was going to ask which resolution you’ll be using. I think that makes sense as the difference between LD rip and HD would be a bit jarring!

I would have loved to do it in 720p but for me it was unwatchable , the video resolution is 720x480 , i made a sample and watched it on my tv and it does not look too bad at all ! definitely watchable , what do you think of the cutting in and out effect neon ? i decided to put the whole scene in from the ld rip because when i mixed them together you could notice the quality had dropped instantly , that is why i added the effects for cutting in and out so you would not notice it as much
I didn’t actually watch that bit before. Just skipped straight to the Love is Gone sequence.
I see what you did there now, but I think the fade effect is a bit too fast and snappy compared to the original. Your version has more of an “ease-in-out” effect (slow fade at the beginning and then fast fade to white), while the original is more gradual. But overall its not too bad 😃
you are right mate , i have fixed now and it is a lot smoother , i tried to make the cutting out scene as if it was going thru the window if that makes sense ? that is the only place i felt i could cut back to the original, i have just to fix the bad dust marks and video is ready 😃

I just got my DVD-R copy of the laserdisc wide screen uncut version of the Muppet Xmas Movie, and while it is not DVD-quality, it certainly is watchable. it displays on an inner aspect of my tv screen. i’d say the company is trustworthy.

Yeah you can now make an edit if you rip the scene from the itunes extras and put it back in as a fan reinsertion. Its in hd unlike what your offering thought i’d spread the word.

I just grabbed a Russian HDTV rip in hopes that it would be uncut, but sadly it is not.
According to this thread on Blu Ray.com, “When Love is Gone” is 16:9 HD;

There’s also a screenshot comparison with the “MoviesAnywhere” version here, which their version is still 16:9 but slightly cropped;
Muppet Christmas Carol is on Channel 4 (UK) right now but it’s the theatrical/Blu Ray version. Thought I’d TiVo is just in case but never mind.
