Quote: Imperial Walker

The one SW toy that I always wanted when I was a kid and was never able to get was the huge Imperial Walker. I had just about all the figures (even the special ones that you had to send away for), a couple of Tie Fighters, models, Ewok Village, bed sheets, shirts, posters, etc. But I always wanted an Imperial Walker. I was just wondering if anyone here knew how much one goes for nowadays. I know that a mint condition one would be horrendous, but what about one in played with but decent condition ? You know, all the parts ; doors, guns, no marks/nicks to speak of ? I don’t have the money to get one right at the moment, but I’m just curious as to what the price WOULD be.

Think about this. Once bread becomes toast, you can't make it back into bread.

check out ebay... they sometimes go for as low as 50 bucks, but one that is in decent (played with but not broken) condition usually never goes for less than 100 bucks.

Depends on your limitations really.

The priemiums start when the walker comes complete with all parts. Thats specifically ones with the clear guns that are placed on the bottom of the walkers head, as these were easy to come off and loose over time. These guns sold seperatly go for high prices. There are remolds avalible but they dont look anywhere near as good as the original cannons.

Then if you want the original box with it, depending on its condition, the box carrys its own price with it.

There is still a very healthy market for original Star Wars toys on e-bay. Sometimes you can snap up a bargin (common figures for a pound, ships for a fiver), but mostly, for sought after figures or ships, as a rule of thumb expect to pay the same, or more that you would have in the 80's for unboxed ones. And for the last toys made ie. luke in stormtrooper outfit or the imperial shuttle, things get crazy, as people currently treat them as an investment.
