Wait I thought that he cancelled the making of a remake due to negative fan reaction. Didn't he say that he's focusing on Evil Dead 4, with Bruce Campbell as Ash?

Wait not so fast... I just did another search and apparently there is a chance that there will be a remake. It's described in this article.

However, a fourth film is probably the more likely possibility as Raimi talks about this one more.
