I was just saying, I never trust my memory and I haven't seen my clips again but you have two videos made with two different devices, see if both confirm the white. Feel free to share both here if you like.

I'll upload the clips as soon as I finish the subs, I'll put them all in a comparison video. I understand your concern, and I'll check again just to be on the safe side, but I trust my nose on this.
There's no other possible color here but white.
The subtitles are done. Last thing left to do is the audio and a special credits roll in italian, before (or after, still not sure) Harmy's Despecialized credits.
While doing the subtitles in After Effects I noticed the timing was identical to the german subtitles, and then something clicked. I searched for a picture I remembered seeing in this forum, this thread to be precise:

Laserschwert, I think you'll have to re-do your German version. It's the same font! The video you identified as a "tv version" was apparently taken from the original print, these are the theatrical subs!
I think we can say for sure now, the european subtitles were done by the same house and have the same typeface and timing.

Indeed! Damn, I never noticed it, because I thought Sat.1 used a similar font for their onscreen text. Obviously I was wrong, and I should have noticed since the subtitles are cut off in one of the shots.
Funny that we needed the Italian version (and your good eye) to finally crack the German version. Great find! (and it might indicate that the French subs actually used this font as well)
High five, man! :D
*snicker* Poor Master Yoda *snicker*
Oh well, at least he's the highest scoring player at the bowling alley.
Great job ! I assume the french version used the same font.
Here how it looks like with your custom font :
Good job I went to the Ravenna screening! So many European versions are now more accurate ;-)
"You see what you did?" ;)
In many ways that's us Leo :))
Well, Stanley, I'm glad to announce I now have the soundtrack.
I'm a total newb to multichannel audio, but I went and did it anyway: I took the italian Gout soundtrack, which (if the software didn't lie to me) was Dolby Sorround encoded, and upmixed it to 5.1 using TFM Audio Tool. I then married the result to Hairy Hen's LFE channel from his 70 mm mix, and the result is a strange hybrid that I'm going to test drive tomorrow morning and drive the neighbours mad!
If anyone wants to hear a sample, just ask and I'll upload one.
A request:
does anybody have the original teaser trailer in high definition?
I mean this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VEDFGzqMgpI
I remember there used to be a full HD version on youtube, but it has been taken down.
Also, here's a couple of samples of my 5.1 upmix.
Could anybody tell me if there's any problems with these?
Trailer is online. I repeat, trailer is online.

I have done the same with the french soundtrack and it sound good.
Great!
I used this matrix:
Coming very soon...
Project has been completed, and uploaded on the spleen!
Congrats! I saw it over at the spleen before I saw your last post. :)
Thanks Ripplin! I hope I did well. Since I started this project I've learned lots of things, and also had to do lots of technical somersaults, so to speak.
Bravo !
Merci :)
Congratulations! And I know your sensations... I started my projects with very low know-how, but thanks to many forum members, I made small steps into the right directions, and learnt a lot of things... it's a good sensation, isn't it?
Sadly my projects are lost due to an HDD crash… 😦 | [Fundamental Collection] thread | blog.spoRv.com | fan preservation forum: fanres.com
I have a small announcement to make: due to gross idiocy on my part, the computer I was using to seed is now temporarily unavailable, because it now needs new heatsink paste. Yes, I am that stupid.
Issue solved. Sorry for the inconvenience.
