The only reason to make this forum invite-only is to see how people create threads at the myspleen forum to ask for invites to OT.com.

Okay, be nice people. Looks like it’s been around since December. I’m going with “not a joke site” for the moment.

I’m actually surprised there hasn’t been such a dedicated Prequel forum before. bgcrisis, I wish you luck with your new forum, you’re going to need it!

Thanks!

I made the PT forum invite-only because I’m legitimately a huge newbie who’s messing around with SimpleMachines and I kept getting russian spambot accounts loading the Ep.1 subforum up with nonsense paragraphs with links to cheap pharmaceuticals(?).

About your sub forum description …

“Fan Edits: chopping up existing, finished works into exactly what I need them to be because I’m a broken person.”

Is that an original quote from George Lucas?

Rogue One is redundant. Just play the first mission of DARK FORCES.
The hallmark of a corrupt leader: Being surrounded by yes men.
‘The best visual effects in the world will not compensate for a story told badly.’ - V.E.S.
‘Star Wars is a buffet, enjoy the stuff you want, and leave the rest.’ - SilverWook

So…none of this is ironic?

I’m away for ONE DAY and I miss all this fun.

I’m out of it for a little while, everybody gets delusions of grandeur.

Or because you were a film genius as a teenager and you thought turning really bad source material into a really good proof of concept was a great way to hone your skill.

Jar-Jar is the Emperor in the extra special edition of ROTJ (scenes 1, 3, and then 6 to the end).

What is this “new era” referring to? I’m curious, because I’d argue that the ‘new’ ‘era’ would be the ST, not the PT.

Oh I meant a new era here on Earth, not in the SW universe. One in which we can calmly revisit the prequels and discuss them without all the party-line fanboy angst/baggage that comes with the average online conversation about them. Enough time has passed.

Enough time had passed, but TFA brought us a new generation of “fans” that insisted the PT movies are better than TFA, or worse yet in some cases, better than the OT.

And you thought this was the best place to promote such a site?

Disliking a movie because it was poorly written, directed, and acted isn’t “fanboy angst”. It’s just being honest. I certainly think it’s far worse to like the movie just because you grew up on it or because it has “Star Wars” in the title.

When I write and direct my first comedy film, I will base the script on this thread.

That’s it. You’ve been asking for it, now you’re gonna get it.

I hate to break it to you, but that image doesn’t really do anything to the recipient.

Or one of Geordi’s Holodeck girlfriends 😉
