the "Dead Thread" thing is a normal practice on this forum. Most of the time it is respected. Although of course it is unofficial. It is used to end duplicate threads, threads that are useless, or to prevent flaming. I believe this is a useless thread

usally it is done by the senior member of this forum. As I said it is unoffical so if an idiot tried it with a good thread, it would just be ignored. Many time before "dead threa' is used, it is agreed by those who have been posting on the thread that the thread has reached its ending point.

In my experience, almost every time Jay has encountered a thread in which someone has declared it dead, he gets rather annoyed, though.
