Oh, well mine are not factory pressed but copies. And I'll be sharing it as the mpg files, not disc images, so if you want to seed you have to rename the dat files to what they're called in the torrent.

someone needs to compare this with the bluray to see if there

is a difference in the framing.. (not the cgi stuff)..

ok, i've watched all the parts..

went back and re-encoded part 2,

because the file size looked wrong,

and the compression wasn't right.

remuxed with a better quality sound file,

and added borders to make it 720x480

like the other two files..

should do one more check, and then i'll

upload it..

I remember getting The Phantom Menace laserdisc. I am pretty sure it was the last new LD I bought. Have got a few used ones of the years of various films. I still like giving them a spin. Looking forward to your results -1.

Well is there any chance you could re-capture the Japanese SWE1 LD with much higher bitrate ? And maybe cutting the black bars from the top and the bottom so that more bitrate can be used for the video ?

Sorry I'm new here and I don't find the links of the Laserdisc-Rip of Episode one. Am I bilnd?

I know the Z version bootleg was madeof two different versions, I have this Z version on a factory-made VHS Tape with german dubbing from e-bay, originaly buyed on a flee market, maybe made in Chechia or Russia. But I also know there was a complete version of one of the used versions, without the Z logo. Can someone get me this other version?

Please read the general forum rules:

http://originaltrilogy.com/forum/topic.cfm/Fan-edit-preservation-forum-rules-and-FAQ/forum/17/topic/5950/

That will explain why you will not find links to content in these forums.  What is acceptable is general direction.  So usenet's alt.binaries.starwars is a place which at times has things which you are looking for.

This german dubbing, is it authentic or was it created by a non-official source.  The tape is it NTSC or PAL?  What else do you know about this version?

My Z Version is the same that is explained here, only on pal tape with German dubbing recordet in hi-quality from an original german cinema screening. In some scenes you also can hear the reaction of the audiance. Can someone give me the original VCD Version with english sound or one without the Z logo? If someone interested, I can try to rip my tape to VCD mpeg1 or DVD mpeg2 files.

I also have the original released german tape in 4:3 aspect ration from 2000 with original german opening scrawl, it's also the cinema version. It was also released in Widescreen, but I have only the Fullscreen version. From the Hungarian version of the same tape I have a rip on VCD, with original Hungarian opening scrawl.

I don't now how to use the side and I don't want to pay for illigal downloads. I am accustomed that partly unlawful is free of charge.

 newsgroup access is usually free.

but it depends on your internet provider.

there is no site... even with USENET providers,

they are just charging you access to their servers.

May I have a pm please?

Ooops, my bad, have we figured out if the newsgroups are still carrying this?

You can find out what's on usenet through various search engines:

http://binsearch.info or http://www.mysterbin.com/ for example.

The 'still carrying' part depends on your news providers retention.

1 month, 194 days or 3 years depends on your service.

Lately I've developed an interest in the AOTC theatrical version.  Anyone have an idea of how to get this?
