Hi, thought I make a thread for you Mac owners where people can put news about ports of popular games to the macintosh. Here goes my first one:

I have seen Unreal Tournament and the more recent versions of the SIMS series at Best Buy among many others at the Apple Store.

Heh, as a blunt 'PC only' user, I have to say I was quite surprised and impressed how all blizzard games are for both platforms from the very same CDs. I mean I could switch to mac from one second to the next, and I could install all my Blizzard games without having to buy them a second time. Those Blizzards are wizards, imho. Very customer friendly.

the warcraft series, and the starcraft series, as well as the diablo series (LOL i just recited their major series)

WC and SC is RTS (Real Time Strategy)

Diablo is a RPG.

Star Craft and Star Craft - Brood Wars is probably the best story arc i have ever seen in a computer game.

Knights of the Old Republic comes to the Mac (Source).

The estimated release date for KotOR is August 2004. If you're interested to see what other games are in (or already left) Aspyr's pipeline for mac-conversion, check their project status page.

I noticed they have C&C: Generals out on the mac as well (a highly politically incorrect real time strategy game centering about 'modern' warfare). It's a great game if you can take the amount of blackness it comes along with.

Yah, along those lines, just a tad stronger than that. Hard to explain. Have a look at their homepage.

Edit: Another thing I forgot to point out: Don't forget to check the system requirements for those new games. I'm not into mac stuff so I don't know what macintosh systems are required for the current generation of games.

I'm trying to figure out what kind of game to pick up. I'm not huge into video games like this. I'm not even really sure what I'm looking for. Maybe I'll see what's available and ask for opinions from you guys.
