I just watched “Gender Revolution: A Journey With Katie Couric”. I thought it was interesting and thought provoking. It gave me some things to think about. I don’t think I agree with everything presented, but it was worth watching. Anyone else watch it?

Nope. Is it available for streaming online?

I don’t know. It was broadcast on the National Geographic Channel.

Oh! An anti-Trump protester did something bad? Well, I guess this means I was all wrong about Trump and he is the greatest President we’ve ever had.

not.

I didn’t say that, and by the way it was a group of 100 Trump protesters. I just thought it was a good reminder that both the far-left and the far-right are every bit as despicable as they claim each other are.

Doesn’t look like it is…at least, not officially.

A father instructs. He raises a child to be good, to be honest, to tell the truth, to be humble, to be fair, not to be petty, to respect women, to accept fair criticism, to protect the weak and not to injure the injured, such as the bereaved parents of a son who died heroically in Iraq and a reporter with a physical disability. Trump teaches otherwise. He shows a boy that the manly virtues are for suckers, that the narcissism of youth should be cherished and that angry impulses have to be honored. Lots of men have failed as presidents, as Trump surely will, but few fail so dismally as role models. He’s a boy’s idea of a man. He’s a man’s idea of a boy.

Damn. I wish I could see that. It sounds like it’s right up my alley.

Not that that is going to stop you from dreaming… Only in this case, Gaffer is actually a guy.

The Kremlin said on Monday it wanted an apology from Fox News over what it said were “unacceptable” comments one of the channel’s presenters made about Russian President Vladimir Putin in an interview with U.S. counterpart Donald Trump.

Fox News host Bill O’Reilly described Putin as “a killer” in the interview with Trump as he tried to press the U.S. president to explain more fully why he respected his Russian counterpart. O’Reilly did not say who he thought Putin had killed.

“We consider such words from the Fox TV company to be unacceptable and insulting, and honestly speaking, we would prefer to get an apology from such a respected TV company,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on a conference call.

I think that the far-left and far-right are both despicable and I think that both are a threat to American freedoms. Maybe in different ways, but both are despicable and threatening enough that I don’t prefer either.

This would be fantastic.

http://www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/2017/02/rosie-odonnell-steve-bannon-saturday-night-live-donald-trump-sean-spicer-melissa-mccarthy

Press Secretary Spicer is already on record as being casually displeased with McCarthy’s bullish, bombastic impression of him. He told Extra that McCarthy “needs to slow down on the gum chewing; way too many pieces in there” but generously called the show “really funny.” But according to Politico, it wasn’t the gum chewing that displeased Trump. “More than being lampooned as a press secretary who makes up facts,” a source close to Trump told the Web site, “it was Spicer’s portrayal by a woman that was most problematic in the president’s eyes.” Even worse, the potentially emasculating portrayal is allegedly “not considered helpful for Spicer’s longevity in the grueling, high-profile job in which he has struggled to strike the right balance between representing an administration that considers the media the ‘opposition party,’ and developing a functional relationship with the press.”

Given their combative history, it should come as no surprise that O’Donnell would want to help S.N.L. pile on to its increasingly confrontational portrayal of the president and his close circle. When news circulated late Monday night that Trump’s biggest issue with S.N.L.’s Spicer sketch was McCarthy’s gender, someone floated the idea that perhaps his old nemesis, Rosie O’Donnell, should play Trump’s top adviser: Steve Bannon. And as that idea picked up steam on Twitter, it made its way to O’Donnell herself, who was immediately game.

Do you consider yourself transgender or something of the sort? I didn’t know that.

I don’t consider myself Han Solo but I still find Star Wars interesting.

Just joking, I know it’s not even close to being the same thing.

Plus, we all know I AM Han Solo.

Can you give a common example of something you consider to be “far left” and “a threat to American freedoms”? I ask because I consider myself pretty far to the left, and am not sure who I am threatening.
