That being said, I’ve read some parts of it and it seems to be a huge bs. As if Russia was planing 5 years ago that Trump would be the US president…

It’s Buzzfeed, it’s not a shocker. Also, the fact that it’s riddled with errors and many of the allegations are turning out to be provably untrue (such as Trump’s lawyer meeting with People in Prague when he has come out in said not only is that not true, he has literally never been to Prague in his life). They are the Ying to Breitbart’s Yang. Serious organizations depend on fact-checking and verifying the legitimacy of the things they publish, but Buzzfeed has nothing to lose. No one takes them seriously to begin with, and even if it turns out to be a complete farce they’ve gained enormous amounts of clicks and are in the exact same position they began in in terms of respectability as a news organization. NBC was apparently given access to the “intelligence” many weeks ago but decided to go forward with none of it after realizing it was riddled with errors and none of it could be verified, and it’s looking less and less legitimate as time goes on.

Multiple officials say that the summary was included in the material prepared for the briefers, but the senior official told NBC News that the briefing was oral and no actual documents were left with the Trump team in New York. During the briefing, the president-elect was not briefed on the contents of the summary .
“Intel and law enforcement officials agree that none of the investigations have found any conclusive or direct link between Trump and the Russian government period,” the senior official said.
According to the senior official, the two-page summary about the unsubstantiated material made available to the briefers was to provide context, should they need it, to draw the distinction for Trump between analyzed intelligence and unvetted "disinformation."
The briefers also had available to them unvetted “disinformation” about the Clinton Foundation, although that was not orally shared with Trump.

Trump saying he has literally never been to Prague is the very definition of literally unprovable. Trump is as legitimate a source as Buzzfeed is, which is to say “not at all.”

Also, Buzzfeed being Buzzfeed doesn’t mean that there’s nothing to see here.

It wasn’t Trump, but a member of his council. It’s absurd to claim it’s unprovable. I don’t know how often you travel overseas but using a one’s passport and plane travel records it would be easy to prove where one has been at a specific point in time, especially if you can prove you were actually in the United States (as that dude is claiming) at the exact same time it’s alleged you were in Prague (which he is claiming he has never been to in his life).

And of course McCain would hand it over the authorities, then the intelligence agencies would go through the process of vetting its legitimacy. From the NBC report:

Watching the press conference. Such a difference between Obama’s direct, thoughtful delivery and Trump’s rambling non-answers. He was asked if those insured under the ACA would continue to be insured under repeal/replace, and he went on for 5 minutes while completely avoiding anything resembling a real answer.

Such a massive bullshitter.

Right, everyone important has already seen this, and were going to sit on it until it was proven. BuzzFeed gets a hold of it and makes the decision that we should REALLY make sure it’s untrue by publishing it. Trump was briefed it was coming.

While Cohen’s passport didn’t seem to contain stamps from the Czech Republic, he wouldn’t necessarily need to have one if he visited the country. The Czech Republic is part of the Schengen Area, a group of 26 European countries that have a border agreement. Visitors must present a passport when they first enter the area, but they do not necessarily need to show the document when they travel between countries within the zone. Based on the passport pages he showed to Yahoo News, Cohen made multiple visits to Schengen countries, from which he could have traveled on to the Czech Republic, including a trip to Paris last year.

In fact, Sean Spicer just essentially said in the press conference that they don’t even know where he was.

Michael Cohen, who is said to have visited Prague in August and September, did not leave or enter the United States during this time. We asked him to produce his passport to confirm his whereabouts on the dates in question. And there was no doubt that he was not in Prague.

In fact, Mr. Cohen has ever been in Prague. A new report actually suggests that Michael Cohen was at the University of Southern California with his son at a baseball game. One report now suggested apparently it is another Michael Cohen:.

Using one’s passport it would be cut and dried to prove whether or not you were overseas at any given time. All of that nonsense about the Shengen zone is irrelevant - he would’ve still had to have had his passport stamped to travel overseas during that time period.

“So is Michael telling the truth? Has he ever been to Prague?” Trump asked, according to Cohen.

Bannon informed Trump that the passport didn’t show travel to the Czech Republic, Cohen said. After Bannon looked at the document, Cohen said Trump’s chief of staff, Reince Priebus, press secretary Sean Spicer and special counselor Kellyanne Conway all checked out the passport. He also showed it to Vice President-elect Mike Pence.

“He didn’t spend two seconds looking at it. He was like, ‘I believe you, Mike,’” Cohen said of Pence.

Where does it say “they looked at his passport during the time he was alleged to be in Prague, and he was not out of the country?” It says it didn’t show travel to the CR…and even if they said what you are saying, I can’t imagine any reason that Trump, Bannon, Priebus, Spicer and Conway would all lie. They’re all upstanding honest truthful people with no motivation to lie whatsoever.

When you travel overseas you get your passport stamped as you exit and enter the United States. When you’re an American - it is exceedingly easy to prove where and when one has been in terms of being in the country or not being in the country during a specific window of time. The report is alleging he was in Prague during a specific time period and his he is claiming his passport shows that he was not out of the country during that time. If you’re within the United States it is extremely difficult to also be in Prague - you’d need very very long arms. All that nonsense about the Shengen Zone is irrelevant - that only applies if you’re in EU territory, as is the fact that a different Michael Cohen might have been at a particular baseball game in LA (seeing as the important fact wasn’t that he was at a specific baseball game in this country, but merely somewhere in this country during that time.)

Based on the passport pages he showed to Yahoo News, Cohen made multiple visits to Schengen countries, from which he could have traveled on to the Czech Republic, including a trip to Paris last year.

This is their response to the intelligence report:

Michael Cohen, who is said to have visited Prague in August and September, did not leave or enter the United States during this time. We asked him to produce his passport to confirm his whereabouts on the dates in question. And there was no doubt that he was not in Prague.

  1. Aside from this, the people who are claiming anything about this are completely untrustworthy and have every reason to lie about it.

You don’t find it the least bit suspicious that they said “he didn’t enter or leave the US” at that time rather than “he was in the US at that time”…? Sean Spicer admitted they don’t know if he was in the US at that time.

You seem to be assigning quotes to them that they never said.

  1. Aside from this, the people who are claiming anything about this are completely untrustworthy and have every reason to lie about it.

lol

???

I’ve never seen Kellyanne Conway (just to pick one of them) say anything approaching the truth.

For sure, but they could just as easily say the same about Buzzfeed.

I already said Buzzfeed is as trustworthy as Trump or any Trump lackey. There is plenty here without relying on Buzzfeed.

Can he prove he was in the US?

Did you read what you quoted? In very last paragraph they looked at his passport during the time he was alleged to be in Prague, and he was not out of the country.

???

Based on the passport pages he showed to Yahoo News, Cohen made multiple visits to Schengen countries, from which he could have traveled on to the Czech Republic, including a trip to Paris last year.

Alright, that’s fair. I haven’t been following the story too closely, and I’ve only been half-paying attention to the conversation in this thread.

  1. I’ve bolded the important part for you.
  2. Aside from this, the people who are claiming anything about this are completely untrustworthy and have every reason to lie about it.

Since you’re ignoring everything I’m saying and arguing whatever the hell you’re trying to argue, I’ll just give up at this point.

Ahahaha, I honestly don’t understand what you’re saying? Are you claiming that because he once vacationed in Paris he might’ve also traveled to Czech territory at some irrelevant time in the past? Who the fuck cares?? I’m talking specifically about the “Inteligence Report”. If it’s claiming he was in Praque during a specific time it is very easy to prove whether or not one was overseas during that time - full stop.

No one has said he was definitely in the US at the time, they only said he wasn’t in Prague based on his passport…which wouldn’t prove anything if he’s not in the US.

You don’t find it the least bit suspicious that they said “he didn’t enter or leave the US” at that time rather than “he was in the US at that time”…? Sean Spicer admitted they don’t know if he was in the US at that time.

You seem to be assigning quotes to them that they never said.

I also find it interesting that you would trust the word of any of these people to begin with.

This is what they said:

Michael Cohen, who is said to have visited Prague in August and September, did not leave or enter the United States during this time. We asked him to produce his passport to confirm his whereabouts on the dates in question. And there was no doubt that he was not in Prague.

If you don’t think this is them claiming he was in the US at the time, I don’t know what to tell you. It’s obviously the implication there.

And I don’t trust any of these fucking knuckleheads. I don’t trust Buzzfeed, I don’t trust CNN, I don’t trust Michael Cohen (I didn’t even know who the guy was before this), I don’t trust Trump, and I don’t trust any of the various talking heads wrapping their lips around it. I see through all their bullshit with equal magnificence Frink, that’s what makes me such a national treasure.
