Hahahaha. Trump was right, he could shoot someone in cold blood and it wouldn’t matter. Trump supporters, including those in this thread, would just say there’s no proof and that the media is making it all up.
You may try and discredit me all you like with your petty little insults, but the fact remains, they are petty and ignorant. You resort to them every time anything of simple intelligence and basic logic escapes you. It’s a tell of your over-inflated ego.
I’m sorry, who is resorting to insults?
That was not an insult, it was a remark based in fact, from my past experience with your “reactions” to particular things I post. If you don’t like it, change it, otherwise it is what it is.
I don’t care either way, I just think it’s funny that you think I’m the one insulting you. I said you support Trump no matter what he does. You said I resort to insults (like saying you support Trump, apparently) whenever I’m too stupid to understand something. And also that I have a massive ego.
So ok, congratulations. I hope you feel better now.
I’m just waiting for Trey Gowdy to go thermonuclear over this, considering how it is much more dangerous than anything Hillary did.
Oh wait, he’ll never do that, because he’s a massive hypocrite. Like almost every other Republican on this issue.
Lol Trey Gowdy. Lol Republicans.

You seem to have conveniently forgotten the two remarks above that you made. Owning them would prove me right so I can see why you passed them by.
These prove I insulted you?
They show the over-inflated ego. Why else would one make such “innocent” jokes with a subtle hint in the wording towards who they are meant for then? Some of us aren’t as dumb as you give us credit for that’s all.
😃
Well then perhaps you can explain it.
Because you and I both know it would be wasted thread space so let’s not kid ourselves and just move on shall we?
Thanks

If you could just explain how the post you quoted is insulting you, we can be done with all this.
But based on the edit you just made above, I’m sure you can’t.
What Trump supporters in this thread?
The Trump supporters in this thread have opted not to identify themselves.
Does claiming you aren’t one when you clearly are one count as not identifying yourself?
Yep.
But just because someone posts nothing but right-wing spin, conspiracy theories, and outright propaganda doesn’t necessarily mean they’re a Trump supporter. For example, they could post a disclaimer, say they’re a big Angela Davis fan, and then you’d have no idea what they really think.
later,
team trumpsupporter
you’d have no idea what they really think.
But isn’t that already the case?
Or is not understanding and not knowing two different things?

Snark tag fail. I’ll report it to Markdown-it.
This seems like a problem.
Fired FBI Director James Comey wrote a internal memo in which he said that President Donald Trump asked him to shut down an investigation into former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn, multiple sources with firsthand knowledge of the memo told NBC News on Tuesday.
The memo was part of a paper trail Comey built documenting what he believed to be Trump’s campaign to derail the FBI’s investigation of alleged Russian ties to his presidential campaign, according to a source close to Comey and a former federal law enforcement official.
Comey was in the Oval Office for a counterterrorism briefing along with Attorney General Jeff Sessions, principal adviser Jared Kushner, chief strategist Stephen Bannon and Chief of Staff Reince Priebus, a the deputy director of for the CIA, told NBC News.
As the meeting was breaking up, Trump asked Comey him to stay behind, the sources said. It was then that Trump told the director, “I hope you can see your way clear to letting this go, to letting Flynn go,” the source close to Comey told NBC News.

Better update it for Tuesday…
Just so I’m clear on how to present a logical argument in this thread:
Step 1: make a claim
Step 2: have said claim refuted
Step 3: throw personal insults
Step 4: get called out on said insults
Step 5: deny insults were made
Step 6: get asked to rationalize my comments
Step 7: avoid answering
Step 8: 😃
Am I doing it right?

You can also skip straight from Step 1 to Step 8 by placing the smiley on your claim, which means you’re just joking around and you don’t actually believe what you’re posting. It does have the benefit of skipping Steps 2-7, which can be tedious. But overuse on the same type of content over & over could lead to accusations of being disingenuous.
Well hang on, I believe the last few pages have taught us that simply making the claim is considered a personal insult, so we can just start at Step 3.
One could argue that legalizing gay marriage and marijuana are conservative standpoints as that means less government limitations on your personal life.
You would think.

It’s a libertarian standpoint. Liberals can love it because civil rights and conservatives can love it because government bad.
And technically the libertarian POV would be that the government doesn’t recognize any marriages at all, which I can sympathize with but it leads to a huge rat’s nest of legal issues, so government recognition of family units in some capacity seems warranted to keep that side of things simpler. But I don’t see any reason why that can’t be extended to unmarried multi-generational family units, etc.

That was essentially Barry Goldwater’s argument for gay marriage, but he also suggested putting drug addicts into the slammer for life at the same time.
EDIT: CatBus said it first, Goldwater would probably be considered a libertarian today.

Of course this is right because it only pertains to those not in the majority of this thread. We certainly could never have anything to show that it is okay to disagree and not talk stupid sarcastic dumb shit all the time about the minority of the thread. If we did it any differently, we’d actually have bi-partisan discussion, and not partisan slandering at ever turn. Since having that would be anarchy I guess we’ll have to settle for the crap comments that pass as intelligence.

JEDIT: Apparently you don’t read so well. 😦
Personal insults on the last two posts!
Personal insults on the last two posts!
I get it, this is the game here, turn everything in to an insult so that nothing happens either way. It’s a crappy game for sure but in the end I see why it works.
Dishing it out and taking it goes both ways my friend. The problem lies in the fact that some just can’t own their own rhetoric. What better way to make themselves look smarter than you while showing they can “prove” to everyone how nothing you say makes any sense.
It’s semantics at it’s worst but an acceptable behavior nonetheless.
Oh, and I’m insulted that you insulted me by saying “Personal insults on the last two posts!” … it’s so insulting.
😉

I’ve wondered about that myself. Unfortunately, for some (possibly arbitrary) reason, the Republican party seems to be intertwined with Christianity. I say arbitrary because I have many conservative friends for whom their one gripe with the Republican party is its immersion in religion.
I’ve often wondered what the U.S. would look like if it happened to be the liberals that were embroiled in Christianity.

Aren’t these statements insulting? They seem worse than what you are accusing Frink of. But I do like that you turned your reply to me into a joke LOL.

Our political parties are not what they used to be and they switch poles like the Earth does every so often so when these things come up it’s almost a surprise at who is supporting what.
Odd that this has been thrust back in to the spotlight. Trump hasn’t taken credit for it so I’m wondering where this may be going with all the hubbub about Russia, Russia, Russia.
The family of a Democratic National Committee staffer who was shot and killed in Washington last summer denied a report that their son leaked more than 44,000 emails to WikiLeaks before his death.
“As we’ve seen through the past year of unsubstantiated claims, we see no facts, we have seen no evidence, we have been approached with no emails and only learned about this when contacted by the press,” the family said in a statement released Tuesday afternoon. “Even if tomorrow, an email was found, it is not a high enough bar of evidence to prove any interactions as emails can be altered and we’ve seen that those interested in pushing conspiracies will stop at nothing to do so.”
Earlier Tuesday, Fox News reported that 27-year-old Seth Rich may have been the one who leaked information about the DNC to WikiLeaks that showed, among other things, that the DNC favored Hillary Clinton over Bernie Sanders in the presidential primary.
The report states federal law enforcement investigators found 44,053 emails and 17,761 attachments between DNC leaders from January 2015 to May 2016 were sent by Rich to Gavin MacFayden, an American reporter and WikiLeaks director based in London who is now dead. That information was found in a FBI forensic report on Rich’s computer done within days of his murder.
Later in the day, Rich family spokesman Brad Bauman told NBC News the Fox News report was bogus. Bauman said Ed Butowsky, a conservative Dallas-based financial adviser, reached out to the family months ago with an offer to pay for a private investigator to look into Rich’s death.
The family agreed and paid Rod Wheeler, a former D.C. homicide detective, to look into the July 10 murder.
“My investigation up to this point shows there was some degree of email exchange between Seth Rich and WikiLeaks,” Wheeler told Fox News. “I do believe that the answers to who murdered Seth Rich sits on his computer on a shelf at the D.C. police or FBI headquarters.”
Bauman, trying to separate the family’s views about their son’s death from the hired detective’s claims, shared Butowsky’s role with NBC.
“We are a family who is committed to facts, not fake evidence that surfaces every few months to fill the void and distract law enforcement and the general public from finding Seth’s murderers,” the family’s statement continued. “The services of the private investigator who spoke to the press was offered to the Rich family and paid for by a third party, and contractually was barred from speaking to press or anyone outside of law enforcement or the family unless explicitly authorized by the family.”
A former law enforcement officer with firsthand knowledge of the investigation on Monday said Wheeler’s claim about Rich’s laptop was incorrect because the device had been searched and yielded no emails related to WikiLeaks. In addition, the FBI never looked over the evidence.
U.S. intelligence officials believe Russia, not Rich, hacked into the DNC and allowed that information to be sent to WikiLeaks.
Wheeler added he believes someone in the D.C. government, DNC or in Clinton’s camp is blocking the investigation.
Rich was killed as he walked home in D.C… He was shot twice in the back but wasn’t robbed. His wallet, cellphone, keys, watch and necklace were all left on him.

Of course, to you it is, and I get that. Trump is impulsive and undisciplined but since he didn’t cheat people from his own party to garner a nomination I think it is still relevant.
