Hiya, everyone!!!
Growing up as a kid in the 80s and 90s, I was reluctant at first to give in to the Pokemon craze, but my kid brother (who is now happily married to a very nice young woman about his age), got me interested and it’s now an everyday guilty pleasure of mine.
As such, I enjoy everything about Pokemon, including the movies. That being said, I’ve seen many reviews about the first movie “Mewtwo Strikes Back” and have to agree about the plot points. So I have taken some free time to create a fan-edit of “Mewtwo Strikes Back” and have made the following changes:
- Presented in HD Widescreen using the Japanase version, the original English DVD and the Cartoon Network Remastered broadcast.
- Removed most of the dialogue about the forced moral that fighting is bad. The moral of the movie will be, “Life is a gift given to all, no matter how it is given.”
- Team Rocket doesn’t mistake Scyther for an “Alakazam” or a Sandslash for a “Sandshrew.”
- When the Pokemon are freed from Mewtwo’s Pokeballs and Ash’s Pokemon returned to him, Ash now calls out to Bulbasaur instead of just giggling.
