I am unable to download the nyaa torrent. Can I get a MEGAlink?
A 35mm print would be a fantastic find. I was considering an attempt at a theatrical reconstruction, retiming the Blu Ray and up scaling this Laserdisc rip, but a print would make that job all the easier.

Can you also send me a PM?
Also, are the subtitles an actual translation or are they dubtitles?

Actually… Did RyuuRogue sub mov.1? Their subs are usually good.
Yes, they did: https://ryuu-rogue.livejournal.com/37379.html
Also I found links explaining the Kazenban: http://dogasu.bulbagarden.net/movies/pm_mewtwo/mewtwo_strikes_back_kanzenban.html
and a comparison between the Japanese version and the English (4Kids) versions: http://dogasu.bulbagarden.net/comparisons/movies/mov01.html

I never did subtitles 😮 but there are fansubs…

hello, im also having trouble locating the torrent, may I have the mega link please?
Would it be possible to have the link as well?
I own the original theatrical cut on both VHS and LaserDisc. I will be doing my own preservation of it as soon as I get my new capture card. While an HD restoration would not be possible because no large versions of the non-GCI frames exist, I will at least attempt to preserve it up to a Progressive DVD format (MPEG-2 DVD, 23.976fps Progressive)
Here are all the versions I own and will use:
• Japan Theatrical LaserDisc, ShoPro (main source)
• Japan Theatrical VHS, ShoPro (may be required to fill the Side A > Side B transition on LaserDisc)
• Japan Kanzenban VHS (TV Tokyo print with Ash’s Journey intro), ShoPro (reference only)
• Japan Kanzenban DVD (DVD print without AJ intro), ShoPro (for Japanese DD 5.1 track, Japanese DD 2.0 track, and reference)
• US DVD, Warner Bros. (for reference and for English audio & subtitles)
• Japan Blu-Ray from Pikachu The Movie Premium Box Set, ShoPro (may use Dolby TrueHD 5.1 track)
• 2016 US Blu-Ray, Viz Media (Cartoon Network remaster, English audio contains fixed errors such as wrong Pokemon names, may use audio as a bonus)
• Ryuu-Rogue fansubs (for Japanese audio)
SOFTWARE:
Adobe Premiere Pro CS6
Adobe After Effects CS6
Handbrake

EQUIPMENT:
Realistic MD-1000 Multi-Disc Player (LaserDisc/CD-Video/CD-Digital Audio)
Funai SV2000 DVD Recorder
Windows 10 Pro
8GB DDR3 RAM
ASUS GTX570 DirectCU II Graphics Card (1280MB GDDR5)

Sounds fantastic

Have you ever done this? I’d be interested in seeing it.

I have a TS of the movie from Kids Station (1440x1080 anamorphic) that has the Ash’s Journey intro? I should even have the necessary materials to at least reduce, if not remove, the station logo.

😄
I have no more links sorry.
Will do in future though
No idea. But that would be an encode, where I’m talking a straight rip right off the satellite feed.

I have the erikagarden version of this movie, What version is that?
Erikagarden is a Laserdisc encode, from a different source than Molly’s LD upload.

They are simply recordings by 2 different people. You’d have to judge yourself which you think is better quality.

Would anyone happen to have a link to this? I would love to see it!
Sweet I thought I was one of the only people with the original Laserdisk. Its good to see other fans preserving the first movie.
Is it possible to get a MEGA link (or any torrent link) to the raw LaserDisc version in PM? Thanks in advance.
Molly, could you please seed your .ogm file of Mewtwo Strikes Back? It has absolutely no seeds whatsoever. I already have the Original Theatrical Version of Mewtwo Strikes Back, but it’s ripped from the LaserDisc copy and therefore, not exactly as it originally aired in theatres in July of 1998. I need your .ogm file to replace the LaserDisc version I have. Thank you.

I think I already said that I need your file of the Original Theatrical Version of Mewtwo Strikes Back to replace the file that I have. (ripped from the LaserDisc version and therefore, not exactly as it originally aired in theatres) Well, now that I think about it, it would be more possible to obtain your file on MEGA, so may I please have the PM link to your file? Thank you.

I’d like a theatrical Mewtwo Strikes Back fansub. Pretty sure I used to own the raw Japanese VHS.
Having enjoyed the 4Kids run of Pokemon since early on, I’ve ignored the original script far too long…
