I feel so stupid ... 3 years from my original post and I still haven't finished all 6 movies :-)
You can also see it in the altitude of the cross hatch on the lowercase "f" and lowercase "t". Also, the lowercase "o" is a little bit better match (more square-ish). Great work! I'd never even heard of "Trade Gothic" before.

I also think the regular TradeGothic could've been used in the A long time ago and bold on the end credits, if you need the font, let me know.

Another example with TradeGothic on the end titles:
It looks quite accurate.

Haven't finished all 6 movies?! Just one of the trilogy would be a major accomplishment IMO, pittrek. :) Have you your own thread dedicated to these hybrids you are working on that I have missed? I'm very interested to see and hear about your personal project and what your methods are, and what results you're getting. And why are you working on 6 movies? I'm curious.

Same here- I'm really only interested in 3. ;-)
OK I finished only Star Wars. But after checking doubleofive's galery http://picasaweb.google.com/doubleofive/StarWarsSpecialEditionChangesHD I found many changes which I never noticed before. So basically the finished version is a hybrid, which features no CGI additions, Greedo doesn't shoot, Jabba doesn't appear etc. but still has reworked laser blasts, new skies, etc.
But I definitely plan to get back to it and re-work it again :)
That's nice, pittrek. I knew his comparison list would be useful for things like this. :)

Your project sounds interesting, pittrek. You might even want to start your own thread. In fact, I personally am actually interested in a hybrid of the original movie with simple FX clean ups (kinda like the Indiana Jones DVDs). Perhaps this hybrid could be a significant release on its own...(note that this is just my personal opinion).
I was thinking about re-titling this thread anyhow, since it's pretty much only about Pittrek's project(s) now (if that's OK with you, Pittrek.) :-)
Sure, why not :) OK, good news (for somebody) - I started to re-work it. But if you don't mind I will start a new thread as soon as I'll have any samples ...

Hi, Alluminium Falcon, I'm not touching the special effects - they'll look the same as they look on the GOUT release

Got it. I'm eagerly going to follow this project's progress. The more 2004/GOUT theatrical reconstructions, the merrier.
