That all sounds great. Another piece of freeware graphics software that might interest you is GNU Image Manipulation Program (GIMP).

If you want to reproduce those cases, this site might be helpful:

https://starwarsscreencaps.com/

But also be aware, the producers of everything Despecialized are very much aware of ldsentertainment, and that site and whoever runs it are despised around here for obvious reasons.

Thanks. That link is really good. I was originally planning on opening the movies up in a program to scroll through it and copy pics of a frame.

Actually, you can use 8.5" x 11". There’s enough room there for that.

Technically, yes that’s true, but it would come within about a quarter inch of the edges and printers sometimes don’t handle that well.

I’ve got an Epson 1400 that can actually print to the edge.

Ah, OK, then an 8.5" × 11" would work for you!

My experience has always been that somewhere between .5" and .25" margins the ability to print gets unreliable. But I’ve never had an Epson printer.

BTW, keep in mind, those screen caps are from Special Editions. Of course, for the majority of movie stills that won’t matter. But just something to remember.

Yes, I had thought that those screen caps probably are from the Special Editions, and also I wasn’t sure if they are low quality compressed jpg’s compared to pulling them directly from the movie files.

But what I had planned on doing is using that website to go through all the screen caps to pick the ones I like, since it would be real easy vs. rewatching the movies again. Then I’ll go through Harmy’s Star Wars in a video program to pull screen caps from there.

I’m still researching the double sided paper.

Phildesfr, your other post with this artwork mentioned that you removed the words “Despecialized Edition” from the case-covers and disc artwork at some point along the way. Do you still have those versions available?

Outstanding work, by the way. Your artwork is incredible.

Han Shot. Period.

All of your work is awesome! I was wondering if you had (or would you make) any covers inspired by the 1992 VHS covers? My family had those tapes when I was growing up and they bring back so many memories. I would really love to use covers like those for the Despecialized BDs.

Would these be like what you had in mind? Or are they emulating a different VHS version than what you were thinking?

Those are actually pretty good too but actually thinking of this set. I believe these are from the 1992

I made a DVD set of these a while back, they’re somewhere in one of the threads in this corner of the forum. I’ll see if I can find them.

Been meaning to do a Blu-Ray set conversion (well, remake from scratch, more likely) one of these days.

This thread may be of use to you. Mine don’t seem to be in there, but EyeShotFirst’s versions are very nice. Still DVD case sized, though, not BR.

There are some of ChainsawAsh’s quality work up in the Index Thread, here - link

and a direct link to his 1992 dvd covers, here - link

I think there may be more 1992 covers in the Index thread too? (pretty sure someone did a blu ray set of them too)

Edit: Tyler0013 did a Boxless Boxset - link which may be of use too

Why don’t you knock it off with them negative waves? Why don’t you dig how beautiful it is out here?
Why don’t you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

Ah, yep, those are the ones! Thanks for finding them, oojason, I wasn’t looking in the index thread for some stupid reason.

I think the backs of mine were based on the 1990-ish slipcases while the backs of EyeShotFirst’s were based on the 1992 reissue.

Did you remove the editable PDF’s? When I click your link, no files are appearing. Thank you!

Everything is still there. Are you clicking the right link? This one?:

https://mega.nz/#F!E1tVHZ4B!Jbegfsr8CGPvHKBZUX-yaw

It’s not a direct download link. It leads to folders with cover art files inside them

Also, do you think you might remove the quoted part of your question? The reappearance of the phildesfr’s entire first post kinda clutters the thread.

Thanks, and welcome to the forum! 😃

Appreciate it, but in that department, I’m actually working on my own build!

Hey Phildesfr, any chance you’ll be making a disc/cover art for Star Wars 4K77?

Would anyone mind helping me figure out how to get download the logos in a svg format? I have no way to use eps and I’d like to use the “line” logos (on the spines) for a set. Thank you so much for providing the assets behind your amazing sets phildesfr.

I love the work! I would really love to use your original trilogy cases. However, my copies won’t have any special features, so I was wondering if you could send a version of them without the special features list on the back. If you are able to do that, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

amazing covers here in this Thread 😃
Can someone already create a cover for “The Rise of Skywalker”?? That would be awesome.
