Yay, Denver! Now to see if I can get in!
IT'S MY TRILOGY, AND I WANT IT NOW!
"[George Lucas] rebooted the franchise in 1997 without telling anyone." -skyjedi2005
"Yeah, well, George says a lot of things..." a young 1997 xhonzi on RASSM
"They're my movies." -George Lucas. 19 people won oscars for their work on Star Wars (1977) and George Lucas wasn't one of them.
Just show them your lack of face...nothing drums up publicity like a freak.
This film still makes me uncomfortable.
I stand that if your focus for animosity towards George Lucas is that you didn't care for the prequals, that's overreacting. Artists change, times change, talents fade, you cant be revolutionary twice, and flipping out about it is silly. I won't even get started again on "George Lucas raped my childhood." That's what the website and the trailer seem to show this film is about.
Whether someone likes a movie is ultimately so irrelevant to the actual lies, deceit, and suppression of film history that the man does on a daily basis.
It's like saying you hate Al Capone, but the reason is you don't like how he dances. It might be true, but aren't you missing the point?
Hey, this is close to me!
Who knows, I might even see Xhonzi there if I go!

If you do, be sure to post unattended from his kitchen.

That's a pretty concise conclusion. So here is one major fan project with public attention and like the first X-Wing wave in NEW HOPE it misses the target.
The entire film preservation debate is much more worthy of a documentary as it concerns a general topic (and I'm not thinking of George Lucas exclusively but also Ridley Scott who's developed a strange infatuation of colorizing his films blue) and truly questions the ethical rights the artists or the audiences should have.
It's a good thing we have savestarwars.com and SOUTH PARK's episode Free Hat but obviously that's not enough, as according to a poster at Amazon.com Lucasfilm has just reconfirmed that the upcoming Blu-rays will only contain the special editions plus "additional edits"...
Lucas on the colorization of the THREE STOOGES in 2004: "Maybe just the fact that they're in black and white makes it funny, because their humor is dated. But by putting it in black and white, it puts it in a context where you can appreciate it for what it was." Lucas on film preservation before Congress in 1988: "The public's interest is ultimately dominant over all other interests."
I will buy this the first day its on DVD as long as it has a better quality version of the hotwaffles video and maybe a CD,lol.
“Always loved Vader’s wordless self sacrifice. Another shitty, clueless, revision like Greedo and young Anakin’s ghost. What a fucking shame.” -Simon Pegg.

Nope. It's the state that looks identical in shape to yours.

Actually, that's kinda correct. ;-)
