Well, I want to say the Wii. It's cheaper, it's more innovative, and if the reviews reflect the general relative quality of its games over the next few years, it would be hard to not give it to the Wii. The 360 got a lot of flack starting out, but ultimately Microsoft has been a lot more sane about things than Sony this generation. I think people who want a high-definition experience will go with the 360 and people who want something new will go with the Wii... BUT...

There is one thing you can't ignore--the power of the Playstation brand. And I have a nagging notion that the power of the brand will mean the PS3 sells like wild once they have enough units to go around. Not that I think Sony 'deserves it' this generation.

The Wii. Sony's shooting themselves in the foot with the PS3 this time around, and the fact they forced Lik-Sang (an import gaming site) to shut down pissed off many gamers.

I wasn't able to post yesterday, but here it is. Me at the official Nintendo Wii release party for Brazil. Ahh, so good to have the right contacts.

I've got to play WiiSports Tennis and Baseball. It was absolutely wonderful to play. Didn't play Zelda because I wanna avoid spoilers, and forgot to play Excitetruck.

So my answer is. Wii. You guys just have no idea how fun it is.

What a sad world we live in where the "Wii" is a cool console....fucking stupid name , lame design (any male saying otherwise is a complete homo fairy), but has functionality that no one has....

Fucking Sony...greedy bastards had to go and price their console out of the market and there by make the"Wii" a popular option....

Chill out dude. The design is just a white block, hardly homofarieish. Not like it's pink and frilly. And who cares what they call it if it's fun to play?

Wii all the way! I could give a crap about the ps3. This is the system to play on. My dad got pissed that call of duty 3 won't be coming out on the pc, but I think that once I get the wii version, he'll fall in love with the game.

I'll be getting a Wii eventually, but I'm not in a hurry. The PS3 I'll get after the first price drop.

For me its more about the games than the price drops. Right now the only PS3 game I'm interested in is Resistence Fall of Man.

I';m interested in the inexpensive Blu-ray offer. But, I don't have an HD TV yet, so I'll wait. Wii is all about the games though (Zelda!) and so I'm not going to wait very long for that.

The riots that have broken out over the PS3 are utter stupidity. Ooooh, sharper graphics. Now every jerky motion and unsmooth movemnt will be crystal clear. I happen to be thinking about the sports games at the moment. Less resolution I think would be better unless the movement looks far more human like and AI is increased drastically. That way you wouldn't see all the flaws and your mind would "fill in" the blurry spots with more realistic details. A hockey player should not take a huge slapshot on a wraparound from just in front of the goal crease!
Sorry but I think HD is a bunch of overhyped crap that requires noisy murky tv sets to watch on. I want to see a moving picture, not a bunch of tiny flashing dots. Just because HD can capture every individual blade of grass doesn't mean you should see it. Apparently ESPN has never heard of Depth of Field. But at least they know how to FAKE vibrant colors and picture by crushing the blacks and cranking up the saturation of an image that likely was pretty gray to begin with.
I think Nintendo is very smart to build a console based on ideas rather than get caught up in tech wars.

I belive the selling numbers for the Wii pretty much rest this case. Plus the problems people are having with their PS3s overheating, blacking out and not turning on again (like the xbox used to do), HD only working after applying a PATCH, almost no retro-compatibility, 2.0 rated line up games... Plus from what I've played of the Wii, there is NO reason for getting a PS3 now. No reason.

Played the Wii a lot, watched the Video Game Pianist perform, that was a good geeky weekend.

Wii (terrible name) is the winner here...

PS3 is RIDICULOUSLY EXPENSIVE and I'm hating them for that... so I'll get my PS3 around late next year or whenever
the price drops to a worthy number.

Wii I will get much sooner than the PS3 because of it's freshness, and great price... what kinds of morons work at Sony to
overprice it's machines like that!?

My friend got a Wii last night, and after a healthy dose of Zelda and Wii Sports, I must say this.

Wii wins. Period. This console is going to dominate the market for this generation. This is quite possibly the greatest console...ever. I don't think I've ever been this blown away by a new console. It's just....WOW!

I must have one.
