Insomnia’s been worse than usual recently. Then again, so have my anxiety, depression, and self-isolation, any or all of which may be contributing factors to the insomnia.

Or tonight’s bout could be because I turned on the live action Fullmetal Alchemist movie because I assumed it’d be easily-ignored background noise since it didn’t look very good and I’m extremely familiar with the source material. But it’s so earnest in its own love of the source and yet still so terrible somehow that I’m finding it hard to look away…

Or it could be the burns on my fingers too. But neither that nor the movie explain the last week or so.

I’m having trouble going back to sleep after a thunderstorm woke me up and my stomach kind of hurts.

Took some Tums, now waiting for my stomach to stop bothering me.

The pattern() method in your listen() function has timed out.

The night is young.

Did not sleep. Looks like I was able to sleep decently for a few months.

That was a good run. Problems seem worse when one doesn’t sleep well so hope you get back to a more restful state.

You could try Ambien. It’ll knock you out but sometimes it’ll also make you insult Presidential advisors and lose your ABC deal.

For the last couple days, I’ve had a strange problem where I start to fall asleep but I get very suddenly woken up by sounds that may or may not be a figment of my imagination. The sounds aren’t even loud or notable, it can be something as simple as the foundation of the building adjusting, or my dog moving around under the covers—at least, I think that’s what the sounds are. And that’s kind of the problem, I’m not sure what the sounds are. They certainly don’t seem like they’re coming from anything in my room or anywhere else in the building. They almost sound like they’re they’re coming from inside my head, like I’m imagining them. Maybe the sounds aren’t even what’s waking me up, they’re just two separate phenomenon that I’ve falsely combined into one. Either way, I’ve been woken up as I was close to falling asleep nearly 4 times now, and I’m getting sick of it.

I usually hear things the most when I’m trying to sleep. I can typically tell if they’re imagined or real, usually.

When I was a small child, I heard noises that I thought were from some tiny creatures hiding in my room.

Turns out I had asthma and it was my own wheezing.

I’m in a weird place sleepwise. I alternate between work, home life, and destressing/distraction.
