Eh. He thanks George and doesn’t mention anything specific enough, further confusing the matter and blurring the line. It used to be called just Star Wars but so what, that’s a minor 1980s difference. Keeping it living memory is only going to get harder from here on out.

It’s free to protest outside the building. Much more expensive to hire a plane and fly a banner over the event, but one wouldn’t have to be physically present.

Also unless you’re second in command I doubt you’d own the company. And even then only if it was the president that did it.

Approval from whom? You? SilverWook went back and forth with the community for a while over the content of the letter and he made edits based on their feedback. Did some people prefer the shorter version? Yes. But he made an executive decision and I back him 100%.
The only child I see at present is the one who thinks that his not liking something should dictate everyone else’s opinion on the matter. There’s plenty of room for constructive criticism here, but when someone is a dick about it — like you — they shouldn’t be surprised when they get a heaping helping of the same dickish attitude served right back to them.

Sadly, that’s all I think we’re ever likely to get.
They’ll either remaster it properly or they won’t bother including it at all. Simply recycling the '93 master would be seen as an even bigger middle finger to the fans than when George did it, now that Disney is in charge.
Your earlier post got me thinking about all of the movies both well known and obscure that have been released on blu-ray/4k with multiple cuts all preserved in hd at the bare minimum.

I’d take it if nothing else was forthcoming. Even in this poor state it beats the SE’s.

If for no other reason than because they likely won’t get around to even thinking about the OOT until the 4k UHD release and the GOUT is like 1/27 the resolution.
George got away with that on dvd because many people were still watching on their 4:3 sets and couldn’t tell the difference from a properly remastered disc, which of course would’ve been done in hd like the '04 master and at least be somewhat future proof.
Upconverting a laserdisc master of an entire movie trilogy all the way up to 4k just doesn’t sound like something anyone would do.
