I want to talk about the E80 and FR mode there are two ways you can use it. One way lets say I record Star Wars on XP one hour mode and I want to get it to fit on one DVD-R well there no way eight gigs will fit on to a DVD-R so there is FR mode that let for a recode to to make it fit. I can aslo recode to EP mode thats the six hour mode. On to the DVD-R. But almost ever one that uses E80 will pick FR mode to recode it looks at how long the video is and picks the best bitrate to do a rencode.

Now for the second way you can use FR mode SP is the two hour mode even after two hours it is still records if you do not turn it off but files get to big to fit on DVD-R. So I use FR mode record in real time. Return of the Jedi is 2 hours and 13 after the 2 hours and 13 minutes Panasonic E80 will stop recording. The great thing about FR mode is that I do not have to record in LP thats the four hour mode.

I can record Return of the Jedi in just SP mode but I have the lock problems where the LDs get flipped. Again this problem is onlly on OLD DVD players. But I want to make a set that any DVD player will play.

He ask me how much the DVD set would cost I said $20.00 dollars. This is what he said. Right on.

I've never made a set nor do I feel the need to. Like
I said if you get your set out I will get a copy
either via a trade or for a few bucks a disc.

I feel that $20.00 dollars is not alot. For the people that do video editing of it is not a cheap hobby. My laserdisc player cost me $1000 my DVD recorder costs be $700. Plus I bought three Star Wars face cents trying to get the best copy I could. Trying to avoid laserdisc errors. Each of the Star Wars face sets cost me about $70 dollars.I do not like it when people try to get things for nothing and somebody else has to do all the hard work. It took me about nine hours to make this DVD set. This set is made for people that do not have laserdisc players were do not have the knowledge to make a DVD set themselves. The money that use goes back into video editing.

I got them

Ah, that's always the sweetest!

Sure hope it's not a case of you get what you pay for though...
The original Star Wars trilogy: Our cultural history deserves to be preserved and should be available to the public like all great works of art!
