JEBS, I know that passions run high here, and by no means have I ever wanted anyone to get banned because it just doesn't set a good example for the site, but in all honesty this site has never been a basher/gusher fest, and I have noticed alot of good posters don't post here anymore cause that is what it has turned into here.

I post at two SW sites, ORS & OT.com. I post at ORS for PT/OT debates, and that is why I can't wait for Gomer to come over there, cause even the gushers will get annoyed with his repetitive posts. Most ORS posters are OT fans, but in the same vein they are fans that really like the PT and really hate the PT, so it is a good mix there, and nobody hides their views on what they love and hate. There are so many guys there who defend the PT but readily admit that ANH/ESB are the two best of the saga, so it is a different perspective.

Gomer is just a guy who defends Lucas, and defends Lucas, and he has a right to do that, but who the fuck wants to argue with anyone who just defends him on anything? I like some aspects of the PT, but I also don't want to hear someone that just hates EVERYTHING about the PT, there has to be something that they like?

This site has changed in the last month, and if you go through old topics in '05, early '06 they were much different. Sure there was PT bashing, but most O-OT fans don't love the PT, most either hate it or like some of the movies. Now it is like TFN here, where the threads have just gotten downright personal and that just turns me off. I click on the threads and just see people throwing insults back and forth at each other, and it is downright stupid.

I think alot of people are frustrated cause the site has changed and it was never a PT/OT basher thread. Sure there are alot of people here who don't want to hear it from the other side, but I think they just don't want to hear the same repetitive shit over and over from one person in EVERY thread.

I think what will happen is alot of people are just going to leave, or kinda just stop posting when they see Gomers name as the last post on 7 threads, and whether that is blackballing or people not wanting to hear the other side, in some ways your right, but I just want you to know the site was not always like this, and that is why alot of people are bent out of shape now.

It matters a lot--it shows you have no grounds for claiming that this forum is meant to cater to a specific mindset. It's awfully pretentious of you to come in here and act like you know more about this forum and its purpose than the long-time members and even its founders.

The problem with this is that you assume that just because someone has recently signed up then they must be new to the site. Some people, myself included, have read the threads here for some time prior to signing up and have a very good sense of what has gone on around here.

Next thing I know, the WHOLE theater is chanting, "NERDS NERDS NERDS NERDS NERDS!!!!" It shut that guy up really quick. Come on Gomer.....that was you, wasn't it? Admit it....


I dunno. Maybe this is Gomer here on the left. If so, I'm certainly curious if that was his "date" to Celebration III or just a wonderful photo-op.

I don't recognize the lines in the sand that self proclaimed gushers and bashers have created, therefore I don't feel bound by their ridiculous boundaries.

I just happen to love Star Wars, and don't have any problem with people who don't love as much of it as I do.

I think the reason a lot of the more mature "regulars" have been keeping away probably has much more to do with the fact that -some- of you guys have stopped talking about Star Wars and have just started viciously attacking me personally as a matter of course, and they don't want to be associated with such indefensible and childish behavior.

You guys are derailing posts that were about Star Wars into topics questioning my sexual desires for Lucas. You guys start this off topic thread to personally attack me, even after Jay made a whole thread (still at the top) about how anyone caught making a personal attack would be gone.

It's my accusors who have repeatedly broken the rules and who really -should- be banned.

That said, I hope they aren't.

So let me get this straight, you guys are really sick of seeing my posts, and are trying to get rid of me at -this- site, yet you want me to go post on another forum you frequent because you are convinced they will rip me a new one?

I signed up there last week when you guys invited me. I haven't even made one post yet, and you are telling me that they already have ready made witch trial threads (specifically about me) that I could just slip right into?

No, I just want you to come to a site where people want to debate you, but they are not going to sit back and take the bait like many here, cause there are too many nice guys here who have been putting up with your shit. You go to that site, and people will make sure you don't keep spewing the same shit everytime, and derail threads, you will be forced to comform.

I was less than impressed....it wasn't bad, but it wasn't great. There was a pretty good feeling in the air though. That C3 store was a joke though.
