Odd series of events/ Now own the original trilogy

Hello everyone! I don't plan on being too active on these forums but I did want to share this story with you.

I somehow stumbled upon the most recent changes to the original trilogy that are being added to the Blu-Ray release while surfing the web. I was, of course, very upset, especially with "NOOOOO", so I decided to find others who felt my pain to vent with.

That led me to the petition on this site that I happily signed and to "The People vs George Lucas" which I wouldn't mind seeing. My girlfriend caught wind of my nerd-rage and understood my frustration.

Oddly enough, Star Wars IV was on TV the very next day. Han shot first. I scowled etc. The following day, my mother, girlfriend and brother went around town to do some shopping. They ended up at the Goodwill where my beloved girlfriend found the original trilogy box set sitting proudly on top of the bookshelf of their movie selection. VHS format. Torn up box. 1977 copyright. Two bucks.

She gave me a wonderful gift when she got home and I nerdsploded! I have not yet gotten to watch them because I am planning a movie night with a close friend. That is going to be a good time as we party like it's 1985 with our VCRs and NES!

Thanks for reading my story! Have an excellent day everyone!

That's a great deal!  Well they have the 2nd disk of each of the separate dvds and it has the original versions... unfortunatly they look crappy by todays standards because current restoration methods weren't used (Lucas is the cheapest billionare alive)  I grew up with the pan and scan's but prefer the widescreen now.  Tho it looks like Adywan and Harmy have been making some interesting restored versions of these films (minus the irritating SE changes).
