By “which films would you watch?”, do you mean from your list or are you asking us to post our own? I’ve seen all the films in your list and will be making my own soon. I do it every year.
Your list is nice! I’d drop Jaws ('cause that’s a 4th of July movie not Halloween!) and a couple others 'cause I didn’t like em, but it’s a good list.
Here’s my list in the making.
It’s more of a favorite films of the season than a 31 days list, but same idea I guess.

Not that I disapprove at all, but there’s a couple comedies in the mix 😉

Seems like a very good list IMO. Just saw “A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night”, which starts off threatening to go a little too far in the kitschy-artsy vein, but quickly becomes quite good. Plus, skateboarding Persian vampire, what’s not to like. Kinda like if Jim Jarmusch made a vampire movie, highly recommended.

Here’s what I plan on watching, all first-time viewings. In alpha order as I’m not sure when I’ll watch what, except for Halloween night, which will be Evil Dead 1 & 2. And I might add a few.

Alice Sweet Alice (1976)
Amityville 3D (1983)
Blacula (1972)
Blood and Black Lace (1964)
The Changeling (1980)
Class of Nuke 'Em High (1986)
The Company of Wolves (1984)
The Curse of Frankenstein (1957)
The Deadly Spawn (1983)
The Exorcism of Emily Rose (2005)
Hello Mary Lou: Prom Night II (1987)
Horror Express (1972)
House 2: The Second Story (1987)
The House of the Devil (2009)
The Legend of Hell House (1973)
The Mummy (1932)
Murder by Phone (1982)
Patrick (1978)
Piranha (1979)
Slumber Party Massacre II (1987)
The Stuff (1985)
The Tingler (1959)
What Lies Beneath (2000)

Furthermore, on letterboxd.com there are monthly Scavenger Hunts and I’m in charge of October this year. So all these films are part of that, with such topics as “A twisted fairy tale”, “A film with an unconventional monster” and “A film that’s an absolute bloodbath”. When the list is published in mid Sept I’ll post here in case anyone cares to join in.

Every year, even though I swear I’ll stop before I get to the bad ones, I go through all the Universal and Hammer cycles. Then I go through all the AIP-Corman classics and into Vincent Price’s horrors before doing the handful of other classics like the Lewton films, 30’s horrors, 56 Invasion of the Body Snatchers, Don’t Look Now, The Wicker Man and Karloff/Lugosi vehicles etc.

I also watch the classic silent horrors such as Nosferatu, Phantom etc but many are only borderline horror such as Hunchback and Man Who Laughs.

The absolute essentials though are these for me:
Dracula
Frankenstein, Bride, Son
The Wolf Man and most of FMTWM
The Invisible Man, Returns
The Old Dark House
The Mummy, Mummy’s Hand
Horror of Dracula, Brides
The whole Hammer Frankenstein series
The '59 Hammer Mummy and their Hound of the Baskervilles
Masque of the Red Death, Witchfinder General, Theatre of Blood

I still need to see the more obscure Hammers and perhaps finally venture into Amicus since I’m a huge Cushing and Lee fan. Later on I need to make a dedicated list for this year.
And yes I groan every time I get to stuff like Satanic Rites or Mummy’s Curse.

I formatted my list improperly so instead of making a new post I edited this one. It’s not finished but these are movies that makes the month of October and Halloween special for my house.

The House of the Devil is pretty solid if you can put up with how slow it is before the shit hits the fan. Very well-executed 80s Satanic Panic homage.

I’ve enjoyed plenty slow-burn movies so I think I’ll be good. Thanks for the rec.

Yes, I should have typed “what would be on your list” to be clearer.

Checked out your list, I love that you have Charlie Brown on there. I also need to see Trick 'R Treat; seen several people say it is one of the best Halloween movies but I never got around to watching it.

Yes, Shaun of the Dead and Cabin in the Woods are horror comedies, but did you intentionally quote Silence of the Lambs?

Some people prefer movies from the last two centuries.

and some prefer the classics. But even if you don’t want to go back that far, there aren’t any Hammer movies on it either.

That would be on my list.

Legit great movie. It is definitely one found footage flick that isn’t lame as hell.

Ha! Charlie Brown has been a holiday must my entire life!
You really should watch Trick r Treat. It is the best Halloween film ever made.

I’d largely make a list like Moth3r’s. There a lot of great scares in there.

I would probably drop The Orphanage and/or The Others as you get the same kind of gentle scare from The Devil’s Backbone.
I also don’t find The Conjuring that scary for something similar but more weird and unnerving I would watch either the under rated second Amityville movie or Burnt Offerings or Let’s Scare Jessica to Death
I would add more Asian Horror like A Tale of Two Sisters or Spider Forest.
I would probably add Old Dark House in because it’s Universal but strange.
I would also make room for REC (the first one) because it’s the only found footage film that really scared me, it’s a much more satisfying film than Blair Witch.
Plague of Zombies, Mask of Satan and Masque of the Red Death are visually astonishing too. I’m not sure what I would drop to make room for those though.
And any list that doesn’t have Nosferatu needs Nosferatu in it.
The Haunting (not the remake) and The Innocents are also great Halloween films full of atmosphere. The list needs more Val Lewton. Everyone goes for Cat People I prefer The Seventh Victim but Karloff is amazing in The Body Snatcher or Bedlam you can’t go wrong with anything associated with him.

Over this period the long lost cut of Exorcist III will be finally coming to home cinema so that will hopefully still be making me jump at the right moment.

Another popular Letterbox’d challenge is called Hoop-tober. Watch a bunch of different horror flicks, various franchise entries, foreign films, etc. Named after director Tobe Hooper (obviously, duh), this has been maybe the most popular Letterbox’d annual event.

If you didn’t click my link, here’s a small sample of what I’ll watch, in addition to the films I listed earlier in the thread.

Amityville II: The Possession (1982)
Phantasm II (1988)
Pumpkinhead 2 (1994)
Return of the Living Dead II (1988)
The Omen III (1981)
Ghoulies (1984)
Kill Baby Kill (1966)
The Ice Cream Man (1995)
The Gate (1987)
Diabolique (1955)
Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1956)
I Was a Teenage Werewolf (1957)
Haxan: Witchcraft Through the Ages (1922)
The Mangler (1995)

I’m gonna watch four classic Universal Monsters films. The Invisible Man, The Mummy, Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man and The Old Dark House.
