Every post in this thread has got to be one of Adam's family members sneaking onto his computer. Surely this is not the same Adamwankenobi that is calling of CG Yoda in the OT just a couple of threads over?

Dude..... come on.

And I don't know why you guys are all freaking out. It was already announced that a new Trilogy box set would be out for Christmas to go along with the Prequels box set they are doing. What is the big deal about this? Seriously.

Oh well... at least Adam made the TF.N homepage. Big hand, everybody!! Way to go, Adam. Does that mean you get a signed picture from Phil? I have a couple extra Josh's... maybe we can trade?

Nope, it's me. It's just annoying how he says that everytime. I do want his changes, just it gets on my nerves that he never finishes what he starts. Yeah, I made the TFN page, I like the thrill of reporting these things! That's why I love wikipedia!

you've hit the nail right on the head,

Its has become such a tired excuse for the changes, from his fanboys, its laughable...

when will the George Lucas Definitive Version of the Original Trilogy arrive, any answers or guesses.

There won't be a definitive version because the technology keeps advancing to where George can continue to keep it visually relevent to younger generations.

GL arrives at the Conference INterview for the new box:

GL: "Good evening everyone, thank you for being here. I'm George Lucas, the ingenious creator of both the Star Wars Trilogies, composed of The Phantom Menace in 1999, Atack of the Clones in 2002, Revenge of the Sith in 2005, and A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, all from 2004."

* no sound. a man coughs in the background. the "applause" lights are blinking for 10 seconds *

GL: "Well, uh... okay... let's, uh... Do the thing, uh... here is the box and, uh... inside there are three DVDs. Are there any questions?"

* Everyone raises hands *

GL: "OK, before I move on to questions, lemme say that I have improved my original 2004 vision, as I'm beggining to see things more clear now. So this DVD will have some changes, I just cant't remember what those are right now."

* All hands go down except for one *

GL: "Uh, yes, you there."

Man: "Mr Lucas, when did you sell your soul to the Devil, and why did you do it?"

GL: "OK, I didn't understand a word of what you said, but my lawyers asked me to thank you and to give you this Jar jar talking toy!"

* Pulls string *

JarJar:"Meesa so horny! Meessa love you long time!"

A Random voice in the croud: "F### you George Lucas!"

GL: "Uh.. well, uh, good luck to you as well... So, any other questions?"

Man 2: "Yes, here. Mr Lucas, what do you think Sebastian Shawn would say about the 'improvements' you did on Return of the Jedi, and do you have any fear that a Mecha-Zombie version of him will come back to life and chop your head off?"

GL: "Ah, yes, I think you were refering to the actor who voice Yoda, and mixed up the name with an unknown actor, right? Frank Oz did the voice for Yoda. Frank Oz... Any other questions?"

* Five hands are raised, but a man in black makes signs for him saying "no" *

GL: "No, no questions at all? Good. That's how I like my audience to be, not questioning. Okay, I gotta run, gotta catch my private jet and play some golf with Spielberg and Brian dePalma in Hawaii. Bye bye, hope you enjoy this box of..." *grabs box, looks at it * "Star Wars! Yes, Star Wars, hope you like it. And remember: Buy! Buy more! Buy more now! Buy! And be happy!"

No offence man, but how can you slam TF.N in one thread, take my words over there to start a pissing match on their forums, and then report news to them?

Honestly, make up your mind.

BTW - and again, no offence to anyone here - but the very people that are disgruntled by the re-packaging (presumably) of the OT will lick it up off the ground. The temptation will be too great for you not to buy it. Face it - Star Wars is like the Death Star and will suck(er) anything nearby into it.

Uh... you meant a BLACK HOLE, right?

Again, this was already announced long ago. It is going to be the same box set as was already released last year. And you know what? It will probably be released again next year. And the year after.

And you know what pisses me off (as much as it should piss ALL of you off)? The fact that that those sonofabitches use the O-OT artwork to hawk their horses**t SSE's. Just know that they are LAUGHING at all of us who want the O-OT. Because they know that they are never going to give it to us. And using all the old artwork when pushing these peices of sh*t is just a push to the knife that LFL stuck in last year with the release of his bastardized versions of the films we all love.

To hell with Lucasfilm. They can take all of their product and shove it up their stupid a**es.

Now how much is this set going to set me back?

Sessler, I have a love/hate relationship with TFN. I hate the fact that they have ties with starwars.com and profit from it, but I love that they report news from fans like myself.

Wrong again. Did they credit you for sending them the 'tip?' Nope.

I'm not sure where you're getting a tie with starwars.com from, if anything TF.N profits more from fans. You see, certain members of the 'management' team over at TF.N have strong business connections with companies involved in the merchandising of Star Wars products.

What immediately comes to mind is the autograph industry. If you don't know what I'm talking about I'm not going to spell it out here, look elsewhere for the story. Needless to say, you probably won't be buying that Kenny Baker 8X10 any time soon.

What is with you and TF.N though? I'm not trying to start anything here with you, just point out that it seems you're trying to make a bit of a name for yourself in the online Star Wars community, and as a fellow fan, you may be going about it in the wrong way. Sorry.

Explain. What have you noticed of me other than here? I'm interested in how you see it. I am trying to make a name for myself, but how do you see what I'm doing? I know that I have become notorious for sockpuppetting on wikipedia and TFN.

Just that you have amassed an insane amount of posts in a short period of time and you seem very eager to 'spread the love' to other Star Wars forums around the net. I mean, over 800 posts 3 months? Do you have a job? (kidding).

Sorry, I don't want to come across that I'm out to get you and criticize everything you do, it's just an observation...

On some places on the net and DVDanswers this boxset is not exactly going down a storm..... with quite a few dissapointed fans,

we shall see when its released whether or not the lure of another SW boxset has been too great for some people though.........

"Spread the love" Yeah, I do in fact like to do this. When I find any bit of information, I spread it to all the main sites, right in people's faces. Is this what you are referring to? If so, how did you know this? Yeah, I do spend a lot of time posting, I prefer posting to real-life interaction.

I guess you don't know me very well.

TFN and LFL are one big happy family. Once Paul Ens got hired by LFL it was downhill from there for TFN. Now they got bought out by Wise and they are worse now than they ever were. Hell, the very fact that he has a monopoly on the SW autograph industry is enough of an LFL connection right there. But it is a small one overall. Who knew that I would ever miss the days of Josh and Nicole? And I HATED those a**clowns.
