OMOIV

In contrast to using the acronym IMO (in my opinion) or IMHO (in my humble opinion), I am advocating a more confident approach to discussion and debate.  I believe certain folks who have no doubt that their opinions are beyond anyone's ability to disagree should adopt the following acronym: OMOIV, which stands for Only My Opinion Is Valid.  End every paragraph with that acronym, and no one will bother arguing with you, and you can rest assured that you are absolutely right about everything you say.

Gosh, see how accommodating I am?  I always want to help everyone!  I want even those who lack humble opinions to be able to express their true feelings uninhibited, and with as few keystrokes as possible :)

OMOIV would help with people who thinks their taste in movies, video games, or other media is so much better than everyone else. It seems like these types run rampant on 4chan.

I suspect you missed the point of this thread.  It, along with half my new threads, is intended to mock those who are so sure of their opinion that they feel it necessary to state it as beyond debate.  It annoys me.  But you are welcome to YOSO (your own stupid opinion) ;)

That's true.  I hadn't considered that raunchy running gags in every single thread I touch might be far more acceptable than starting clean, short-lived gags from time to time in the Off Topic section.  Why didn't I think of that?
