I’m assuming you’re not going to edit in the movie clips in true HD.
In 2018, the member BlueCopy remastered and upscaled the Mr. Plinkett Reviews by RedLetterMedia. I was amazed by the idea. So I decided to start my own project. I would remaster and upscale the Nostalgia Critic reviews in a similar fashion. This needs to be done as the first three seasons are in 480p and are plagued by interlacing, aliasing, macroblocking, compression artifacts and other similar problems. Also, due to the YouTube copyright system, many episodes have muted or changed audio and missing scenes that will need to be added back in. When I am done with the project, please PM me for a link. However, this is a very big project so it might take a while.

I was planning on doing that since that is what BlueCopy did.

I can’t wait to see this. Are you gonna do the first 5 seasons or just the first 3 seasons.
Wait there are scenes missing?
Raccoons
@NCFan I plan to do every episode, including ones from recently.

@SpacemanDoug In some episodes like Inspector Gadget and The Garbage Pail Kids, some scenes have been spliced out due to a copyright claim. I will take different versions of those episodes and add those scenes back in.

I do remember one alteration in the Nostalgiaween episodes whenever they parodied the X-Files intro, it wasn’t there before but eventually they replaced the X-Files theme tune with some crappy substitution cause of a claim (ex. The Haunting)

My version of The Haunting episode will have the original music.

Thank you! I’ve been waiting for someone to do this, since most of the only original versions of the reviews on YouTube have the That Guy With The Glasses website watermark cropped out for some reason.
My version will have the watermark as well.

Status Update: The project is currently on hiatus until further notice. Sorry to everyone who was looking forward to this project.

Status Update: This project is in progress again. I don’t have an estimated time of completion though.

If it’s all right with you, I might do 3D versions of the Jaws 3 and Spy Kids 3D: Game Over episodes.
That’s fine by me.

Great! I’ll look for the highest-quality versions of the episodes and use them as my primary source, along with the 3D Blu-ray releases of Jaws 3 and Spy Kids 3D: Game Over, and when they are completed, I’ll send you the finished products via WeTransfer.
The highest quality versions of those episodes are on the official Channel Awesome YouTube channel.

Ah, thanks! (BTW I forgot to mention the other 3D movies he reviewed, namely Jurassic Park, Sharkboy and Lavagirl, and Terminator 2, though two out of those three were technically post-converted.)
I think it would still be cool if those were 3D also.

I’ll probably group them as The Nostalgia Critic: The 3D Files. (Only the actual film clips will be 3D, though.)
Got it.

I’m taking a break from working on this for a while. I will be back to working later.
