NooB question - the extra 'O' in 'OOT'?

Ok, i know OT here refers to Original Trilogy (not Old Testament… Ha!). I have figured out that when you guys post “OOT”, you’re also referring to the orig. trilogy, but what exactly does the extra “O” stand for? or do either of the "O"s even stand for “original”? Thanks.

O-OT= Original, Original trilogy= theatrical cuts of the OT. (1977,1980,1983)

Yes, as Jedikev wrote, OOT = Original Original Trilogy shown in theaters and available on home video until 1995.
In 1997 the Special Editions (SE) were released.
We use the extra O to distinguish between the 2004 DVD set, which George calls OT,
but are in fact SSE -- even more "Special" than the SE.

However, in practice you must take into account the “fuckwit factor”. Just talk to Darth Mallwalker…
