New species of Human discovered, nicknamed the Hobbit

Scientists have discovered a new and tiny species of human that lived in Indonesia at the same time our own ancestors were colonising the world.
The three-foot (one-metre) tall species - dubbed "the Hobbit" - lived on Flores island until at least 12,000 years ago.

The fact that little people feature in the legends of modern Flores islanders suggests we might have to take tales of Leprechauns and Yeti more seriously.

This is mad, this island where this was discovered also had tiny elephants and giant rats. Also these "hobbits" were actually intelligent, they hunted and used fire. Even more mad is that scientists say they could still be around.

Probably just a midget or a mix of bones that the evolutionists are trying to portray as a missing link.

Or maybe Tolkien's work wasn't as fictional as he thought. Now we just need to find giant elephants...

Uh, Ric. As much as I feel cancer and AIDS need to be cured, I don't think that I want an archaeologist being the one to redirect his efforts in that manner. Somehow, I just don't see their knowledge base really helping out all that much. Just my two Lincolns, though.
