New side ad freezing both firefox and IE

`It could be just my computer, but there seems to be an add popping up on the right side in the Star Wars revisited thread that freezes both my IE and my Firefox. If it were only my computer, I'd think that it would only freeze one of the two.

Weird. I have the same problem. Eventually I get a pop-up in Firefox that asks if I want to stop the script from running. Ad server down?

Jay, in particular it's freezing "STAR WARS REVISITED EPISODE V" at the moment. Could you check that thread out?

Which ad are you seeing when the freeze occurs?

Different ads get loaded at random, so viewing a topic page won't necessarily show me the ad you saw at the time.

I'm not sure what add, because it freezes before it can load. I'm only assuming it's that because not every thread does that.

It seemed like this went away for a few days, but I'm having the problem again today. This is happenng in both IE and Firefox.

In Firefox, I've noticed a "waiting for pagead2.googlesyndication.com" message in the status bar while the page hangs. Then after a minute I get a "Warning: Unresponsive script" popup.

This is the horizontal ad (not a vertical one) at the top of the page.

You know of the rebellion against the Empire?

I've been having the same problem as well. And on different computers. But only on the Revisited threads.

I finally experienced this problem for the first time the other day. Unfortunately, without knowing what ad is causing the problem, I can't block it, so if anybody happens to see the ad, please let me know.

I'm exploring other advertising options, so Google may be gone soon.

I'm getting the same lockup as well in the Revisited pages in both firefox and ie and on differet computers. Since its localized (at last for me) to the revisited pages could it be someone's dumb signiture image or something?

Looks like it might be an ebay ad causing the problem based on a review of the source code. I've temporarily blocked all ebay ads (it'll be a few hours before the filter takes effect), so let's see if that helps.

Revisited is no longer acting up.
