I was just going to post that. My close personal friend is pretty happy about this. ;)

And hating on Jaxxon is so last century. How can anybody not like a giant green rabbit who's good with a blaster?

I'm guessing, though, that this cover -- like most comic covers these days, variant or not -- has absolutely no bearing on the inside content. If so, then my opinion's a loud, resounding "meh".

It's still a nice tip of the hat to the early Marvel era. Maybe Han will reunite with what's left of the Star Hoppers down the line.

Now, if they could only do Jaxxon/Rocket Raccoon team up. ;)

As next January onwards Marvel will start producing Star Wars Comics (Canon), I would like to know if Marvel will produce Vol.1(hardcover) issues 1-4 e.g. or anything. I know that every month there will be a new issue, but will there be in the future a collection of all the issues; because I don't want to buy the issues separately.

P.S: I am new to comics :)

Thank You!

Best to ask in this thread instead of starting a new one. Thread merge whoosh!

I'm almost positive there will be. No comic storyline seems to go uncollected these days; even the bad/forgettable ones get their trade paperback.

Do comics still have a letters column these days? That's what I miss with collected reprints, as they are a snapshot of what fans were thinking at the time.

Would be fun if they brought back Star Words as it was called in the old Marvel book.

Except for a few exceptions, I don't think the Big Two have letter columns in their comics anymore. Some of the smaller publishers still do, though (I think).

Dark Horse had one for just about all of their Star Wars titles.

Dark Horse and IDW still do letter columns (at least in Star Wars and Godzilla comics, respectively). I dunno about Marvel or DC.

A professional writer who fails to capitalize "I" and types lines like "I like this post in this site, very interesting."?

If you weren't already banned, I'd hack into this site and ban you myself.

It's just a spambot you know. ;)

I love how totally decompressed it all looks. It'll be totally fun reading an entire issue devoted to Vader walking in through the front door. I'll totally be looking forward to reading the following issue with nothing but stationary talking heads.

I thought it was well-known that the Executor bounty hunters have a rock band. ;)

Experienced force user Vader pulls a lightsaber on Bib, when a novice like Luke just mind tricks him. What's wrong with this picture?

Vader can actually do something with his saber and can threaten to bring in Star Destroyers, TIE Fighters, and Stormtroopers. Luke isn't as good as using his saber and doesn't have anything to threaten Bib and Jabba with.

Vader isn't the sort to whip out his saber just to threaten someone. This is the same fellow who Force chokes underlings when they aren't even in the same room. He's always been a cool customer in the OT.

And Luke used Force choke on the guards.

I wouldn't be surprised if the current crop of EU writers have decided to make Vader's lightsaber some kind of stupid surrogate penis metaphor.

"Oh, Vader lost Lil Annie when he got his ass charbroiled, so now he compensates by igniting his five foot long lightsaber at every opportunity".

I certainly wouldn't put it past them. It's a very Lucasian approach.

Nobody pointed fingers at Dark Horse when something showed up in their comics, so why does everyone point fingers at Marvel?

This sounds like a really crappy sitcom.

I mean, I thought Return of the Jedi established that Fett basically lived at Jabba's. Not that I ever much liked the idea, but what the hell else is he doing just chilling there in the movie?
