I am working on a project now that needs some minor color correction. I have done this kind of thing before but for some reason I am having a hard time getting closer or matching the colors in this pic

I am trying to get the image on the left to be as close as possible to the image on the bottom right, but I just cannot nail it at all.

I do have virtual dub, avisynth, sony vegas etc and played around with them

Can anyone offer any help on this one? Maybe I am just not getting the right red/green/blue combo

Are you sure you want to match that bottom picture, it has a terrible green colour cast.

I can walk you through it if you can run Davinci Lite.

ok I did download the lite, problem I have is that I am still on XP and it will only run on win 7 64 bit. I do have that as well but I really do not have it hooked up and fully going, so at this point I would need something with Winxp

I see what you mean by the green-ish tint. The bottom pic is from a released dvd (way oop) and the other pic is from the not so nice vhs tape. I am pretty sure that the green hue is throughout the film. Here is another snap shot since you had a better eye to see the green better than I was. If it is still present, safe to say the whole film would be like that. If it is not present it seems to be just on the snapshot I took from that scene

At any rate yes I still want the vhs to look closer to the bottom picture in post#1. Does not have to be exact, just more so in the same range. The project is a composite so most already interested know what they are getting and the sources used.

actually forget what i said. Will hookup my win7 hard drive into the pc and just do a few things of copying. Would love your walkthrough guide

not sure if you need it, but both source specs actually match, they are both interlaced, 720x480 and straight at 29.97, no pulldown of any kind, both Top field first
