I am currently working on a fan edit of Natural Born Killers. The NBK-1369 cut will incorporate some of the deleted/extended scenes edited back into the Director’s Cut version of the movie.
some of the re-introduced scenes include:

the indian finding Mickey & Mallory

the drive-in

the trial

the original ending

Would anyone be interested in seeing this?

I have a workprint of this film, almost 20 minutes longer than the director's cut... whatever deleted scenes you'll restore, if you only use the official DVDs for this, it still won't be complete, as the workprint has much more material.

I'd be very interested in workprint footage-- I didn't know that there was other material other than the deleted scenes. That would make for a mammoth version.

We don't have enough road to get up to 88.

Just a question -- I have only seen the theatrical cut. Is the alternate ending attached to the DC? I watched the alternate ending and personally didn't like it very much. Kind of off-topic, but I was just curious.

Tarantino wrote the script, and he was pretty displeased with the film. Apparently they changed huge portions of it. Called it a piece of shit or something alone those lines. I'd be interested in seeing a version closer to Tarantino's original.

This sounds like a great fan edit to do. I've always wished that alternate ending would be added to the film so I'm looking forward to this edit. To answer a previous question, the DC did not contain the alternate ending. It simply contained many new shots of violence and mayhem. I actually prefered the R rated cut because the DC is really too much, especially the additional scenes of Mickey raping the girl in the hotel room. However, the DC does feature some great additional shots in the diner and the famous "looking through the hand scene" at the end. Also, I remember reading the original QT script and it did not contain the depth that Stone brought to the finished film.

holy shiii!!! wow i have been so wrapped up in working on my own edit i just saw this. is this still happening? that would be friggin amazing! nbk is one of my all time favorite movies. and i did not know about this workprint. fantastic plan for an epic movie.
