Thanks, yes, I see that he didn’t put Harmy in the name of the torrent so it didn’t turn up on my initial search.

Hey Guys! I’m a little late to the party, but I’m currently downloading NJVC’s Box Set and looking forward to showing this to my family. Thank you Solkap for making this available, and thank you Harmy and NJVC for making this in the first place!

Now, the real reason why I’m here. I don’t quite have access to Blank BD-R’s yet, so I’ve been trying to play the ISO files on my computer. However, I keep running them into the same problem. All the special features work fine, but whenever I try to play the movie itself, the program I use freezes on the main menu frame. I’m able to back out of it with the menu button, but I’m concerned that if I try burning them to a disc, the problem will carry over. Has anyone else had this problem? If so, how did you correct it?

I am using VLC Media Player 3.0.2, and I haven’t had problems with it before.

This is no fantasy, no careless product of wild imagination.

Hi JaySkywalker830!

Have you tried using Leawo Media Player?

Even though VLC is my go to program for playing just about anything else, I’ve had better luck playing the ISO files with Leawo, and it’s free as well.

Windows version here.
Mac version here.

Thanks Bluto. the other thread was very helpful. And Solkap, thanks for the program suggestion. I downloaded it and the ISO files run perfectly. I’m looking forward to burning them to discs!

I just completed all the downloads and the ISO file for The Empire Strikes Back was created. However, when I wanted to test the film before burning, the menu seemed to work but when I actually press to start the movie it goes stuck for a few minutes and then the menu starts again. I tested the ISO file in VLC media player. Does anybode know if something is wrong with the ISO file or is it the VLC media player?

^ Bluto and Solkap’s posts, just above yours, should be of interest and help mate.

Basically, it boils down to vlc not being able to play the film itself (albeit being a great piece of kit for nearly everything else 😃)

The free and easy-to-use Leawo Media Player, linked to by Bluto above, should do the trick for testing and watching the film back on a computer.

Good luck with it.

No problems registering at that site, thankfully. I don’t have a myspleen account so I’m getting everything from mega. Very happy that someone already put together all the menus and options for this and made it so easy. Will hunt for the BD25 versions of NJVC’s uploads though because I bought a stack of 25GB discs

Hey pdogg81,

Welcome to the forum!

The 25GB versions will probably be a lot harder to track down.

But you don’t have to buy a whole stack of 50GB discs just to get the 4 you need for NJVC’S set. I got mine by purchasing only 10 for about $25 at
this ebay listing.

I would recommend that seller based on my own experience. They saved me from having to buy a 25 or 50 pack.

Here is another very affordable listing. Though I haven’t purchased from them before personally, I would assume they would also be a good source.

You still will have a few extra discs, but that will also give you some breathing room in case of burn errors.

Best of luck!

Cool, thanks for the heads up. A kind soul has pointed me in the direction of the 25gb versions, and hopefully it’ll only take me another day or two to finish the transfer. If I have any trouble with the smaller versions I’ll grab a short stack of 50gb discs like you said

Cool. If the 25 Gig versions are available outside of torrents, and you wouldn’t mind doing so, could you send me that information as well via a PM?

I don’t think I’ll be interested in saving copies for myself, but if someone else asks about a 25 Gig version, I’ll be able to point them in the right direction.

Thanks in advance.

And btw, you don’t need to worry about my believing you own official blu-rays. I’ll take your word for it.

Don’t get me wrong, it is very important that you do own official copies. But when people ask for help, unless I have reason not too, I give them the benefit of the doubt. 😃

Haha, the only reason I bought the blu rays was to be able to watch the Despecialized Trilogy. Sent pm but I don’t the information I have is any different than what you have access to

Quick question from a german fan.

First of all thank you for putting it up and for the great guide!

Second: Will the title crawl and alien subtitles also be in German language if I pick german audio from the menu?

Thanks in advance!

Author

No, but there is a project by another member here that provides just that. I don’t believe it includes menus and extras, though.

That’s the thing. I’m looking for a combined carefree package with the all around german version plus the menu and extras.
I got the german Laserschwert version already but as you said… No menu, no bonus.
Sad, but oh well.

Thank you for the info though.

I suspect that a person with a good grasp of tsmuxer and multiAVCHD could swap in Laserschwert’s version…

I believe so. Unfortunately I am not the one to be able to do this.

These turned out so well that I made some box set cases for them. Thanks solkap!

Hey Tsunamijhoe,

I’m planning on keeping these up indefinitely, so there’s no rush. In all honesty, I’m not sure if upgrading your accout would be enough to bypass the 5 gig limit, since all my stuff is posted for free.

It might be worth it to try. The plans start at only about $5 a month, and you don’t have to renew when your month is up.

Otherwise, download 10 files, wait 6-8 hours, download another 10, repeat until finished.

Just an FYI. I upgraded to the cheapest plan, one time payment, and i could get all files in 1 go. 1 question, not sure if this is stated somewhere,i asume jedi is harmys v2.0 right? Doesnt state so in the filename…

Thank you SO much again, this is so awesome. I already watched a new hope 2 times 😄

Hi there,

Did you use FreeRapid Downloader? I have a mega pro account but still get the error message after 5 gigs.

Thank you!

Hi acpulley,

Welcome to the forum!

Have you tried using JDownloader 2 instead? It has a setting where you can enter sign in information for a premium mega.nz account. Because if you paid for a pro account, and kept up with the monthly fees, you’re right, you shouldn’t have to deal with the 5gb limit.

Thanks so much. I was able to get all the files easily using the Mega app and your folder link. They all downloaded overnight. By the way, for those with Macs, burning an iso file to an external Blu-ray burner is built in to the finder. Just right click the .iso file and select “Burn [filename] to Disc…”. Otherwise I followed solkap’s guide and 50GB Star Wars and 25GB SW Docs are working great so far in my mediocre 5-yr old Blu-ray player. Burning Empire and Jedi when time permits. Many thanks to solkap, njvc, and harmy. Cheers!

Hey Solkap. Thank you so much for making these available. I’m near the completion of my set(working on making slipcovers), But I was wondering if there is any intention for updating these for when v3.0 releases. Have a great day!
