no no i disagree, if wayne is guilty the worst he will get is a fine or something cause its a misdomenor to bet. toccite is fucked if he gets conviced, but alas, i feel bad for wayne, caus eregardless of whether he is guilty or not, the accusation is enough to tarnish his reputation. he was one of the ONLY Icons in sports that was 100% clean, after this regardless of whether he did anything or not, he is no longer clean.

I don't think it'll happen till the Gold medal game. But yes, it'll be a good game. Better than the men's. Always is.

It beats watching men's olympic hockey, because men's hockey is all just NHLers anyway. I always see the Olympics as the pinnacle of amateur sport. Emphasis on AMATEUR! I don't like seeing the NHL playing at the Olympics. Same as men's basketball in the summer.

i donno personally i love it, the olympics is supposed to showcase the best of the best. this yeahs olympics is going to be crasy i really cant wait, i hate the start times though.

i donno about that, these guys maybe paid but they are still the best, if the nhl didnt exist they would be there

and also by not alowing NHL players your still getting paid players. only those guys are from the lesser leagues.

I think the loophole is that they aren't being paid to be at the Olympics.

I had a discussion about this today, actually. We can't just say that "if you get paid to play, you can't go to the Olympics," because that would pretty much eliminate every hockey player down to the beer leagues. I mean, even the minor league players are making money playing hockey. Not as much as the NHL, but they're still making money. I mean, if we take that approach, no more AHL players, CHL, WHL, Russian Superleague, Swedish Hockey League, all the European leagues. Even the junior players are getting paid to play hockey. The Olympics would just be like an international rec league. Perhaps if we just excluded the Major leagues from the competition.

I never thought of that, actually. But, then that begs the questions. Do we want the best of the best representing our country, or college kids? Nothing against the CIS and NCAA teams, but they're get slaughtered by even the low end of the AHL or CHL

Well, if you can't get paid to play in the Olympics, that would take care half the events.

Snowboarding, skiing, figure skating, etc.

They all get paid at one point or another for playing in their respective sports.

But back on topic, I love Olympic hockey, men's and women's.
