Philadelphia Eagles 30 - 27 Indianapolis Colts
Eagles win!
Again, a bad first and again they comeback to win! This time they were down 6-21 in the middle of the 3rd quarter. Although they did need the help of two bad called by the refs. The first was a missed penalty on the key interception that allowed us the drive where we tied the game up. The 2nd was a flag on the Colts for a horsecollar tackle and aided on the same drive where we tie the score, the trouble was, it wasn't really a horsecollar tackle. I guess we got lucky
Anyway:
Fight, Eagles Fight,
On your way to victory,
Fight, Eagles Fight,
Score a touchdown One, Two, Three.
Hit 'em low,
Hit 'em high,
Let us see our Eagles fly!
Come on and fight, Eagles fight,
On your way to victory.
E!-A!-G!-L!-E!-S! EAGLES!!!!!!!!
The Eagles are 2-0
Up next: The Washington Redskins
I think you mean The Washington Professional Football Team.
They are still technically called the Redskins, so I called them that.
At least the Cowboys got a win,26-10 against the Titans. Wooo-hooooooo.
True, but you are not 2-0.

Philadelphia Eagles 27 - 0 New York Giants
Eagles win bigtime!!
Wow! what a game! The defense pwned them! What domination! The offense was ok, but could have been better. Foles gave up multiple interceptions and tried force the ball too much. He is still struggling a bit. He needs to get back to where he was last season. But still overall, a great game. Wonderful to watch the Giants get humilated on national tv. I lost count on the number of penalties the Giants had.
and now:
Fight, Eagles Fight,

Score a touchdown One, Two, Three.

The Thanksgiving game is looking more and more to be a hugh one . . .
Well the cowboys beat the Giants today and take the lead in the division because the Eagles were off this week. It is looking like the only thing that stands in the cowboys' way of a division champion and possibly going to the Superbowl, are the Eagles.
Even though The Giants and Seattle and others have fallen or may fall into the grip of the cowboys and all the odious apparatus of Jerry Jones' rule, we shall not flag or fail. We shall go on to the end. We shall fight in Dallas, we shall fight on the road and at home, we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in Nick Foles and in the Defense, we shall defend our city, whatever the cost may be. We shall fight in Dallas cowboys Stadium, we shall fight in Lincoln Financial Field, we shall fight in the field of play and in the endzones, we shall fight in all our games; WE WILL NEVER SURRENDER!
As a 9ers fan, I think it's safe to say that was our first bona-fide drubbing in the Kaepernick era. Gotta hand it to Denver and Peyton - very impressive.

The mighty Dallas Cowboys now 6-1, and now at the top of the NFC east were we belong. Cant wait for the Thanksgiving game.
Nor can I.
This could work well in the bitching thread.
I've drifted away from football. Many reasons. Marginal advantages from playing fields (Green Bay, Denver), ridiculous salaries, misbehavior, the sense that good players never get a shot coming up through college....
Perhaps the greatest reason is the way the teams can be spoiled early in the game and early in the season. These games are won and lost at the margins. A bad bounce or bad call or one bad move can give the opposing team a score advantage that can quickly take off the razor edge that is needed to come back. A good team can lose 2 of the first three or 3 of the first 5 games of the season and again lose their edge.
I think this can be largly offset by new rules:
If a team takes a lead of more than 7 points, the losing team could get an extra down. If they are behind by more than 14, they could be spotted an extra 10 yards as well as the extra down. This is not out of some hippy-chick desire to protect the loser's self esteem, but to keep the edge and the spectator's interest. The winning team would really have to prove that they are the best and not just benefiting from an early lucky turn or two.
The play-off rules could be altered to keep all teams involved throughout the season. For example, each conference could produce 4 division champs and two wildcards as well as 4 more lottery winners. The lottery teams would be chosen according to a drawing of the winners of the last 2/3 of regular season games. If game 8 of the regular season is drawn, the teams that won the 8th game of their season would play another lottery winner while the six best teams have a by-game. If every losing team and their fans knew there was a significant chance that the latter-season game they were playing might be chosen by lot, they would have a reason to try instead of avoiding injury.
Apart from this, they should eliminate pre-season and begin regular season in mid-August, ending just after Thanksgiving.
Get on this, OTers!!!

This is very silly. Teams come back from behind all the time. If you think NFL games are decided by luck, you should try watching hockey.
*prays that the NFL listens to none of thejediknightusezni's ideas*
How bout them Cowboys?. NFC East champions.
I look forward to their first round loss.
