Here you go...

NFL Standings

All that you really need to know is that the Bears are leading the NFC North and are in a three-way tie for best record in the NFC. That's all that matters, in all honesty.

COWBOYS ARE STILL ALIVE BECAUSE OF THEIR 24-20 VICTORY OVER THE CAROLINA PANTHERS AND ATLANTA'S OVERTIME LOSS TO TAMPA BAY. NOW ALL WE NEED IS A VIKINGS LOSS TOMORROW, AN EAGLES VICTORY OVER THE REDSKINS NEXT WEEK, AND A WIN OVER THE RAMS NEXT AND WE'RE IN THE PLAYOFFS.

oddly enough, i was rooting for the packers yesterday... they made it look like they were going to tie it for OT against the bears. *shrug* somethings just don't happen like one would like.

Of course it did, you silly silly person. It happened exactly how we wanted!

The NFL is holding a summit for high school football coaches in the summer. Looks like you can nominate yours now for a free ride to the summit here.

I'd like to nominate the Coach of my old Highschools football team. Not as a reward, mind you. He needs to learn how to coach football.

I would never have done this for my football coach. I hated him.

Well, I don't like mine either, but the powers that been won't let him go, so we're stuck with him. So might as well send him to place where he might actually learn somthing.

What a weekend of football! Pittsburgh upsets the Colts, the Broncos "upset" the Patriots, Steve Smith running all over the Bears D, Shaun Alexander getting knocked silly. All 4 of these games were awesome. I think the biggest suprise of all was how Denver and Pittsburgh were able to knock Brady and Manning off their games and keep them frustrated all day.

We also had some of the worst officiating I've ever seen. That Polamalu pick that got overturned was crap. The pass interference call on the Patriots should have gone against Ashley Lelie if anything. And apparently in Chicago the referee doesn't pay any attention to the play clock. (And for the record, there's no way you could tell whether Champ Bailey fumbled that ball through the end zone.)

People say that the Patriots beat themselves and let Denver win. I say Denver just got under their skin and kept the pressure on. Sure the Denver offense was average at best, but they put the game away in the fourth and didn't let Brady work his magic. On the other hand, Pittsburgh did everything they could to let the Colts beat them at the end. Even the refs were on Indy's side, but the Steelers came out on top anyway.

My predictions for Sunday:

Broncos 28, Steelers 20

Seahawks 34, Panthers 31

No matter how much nobody wants to hear it, this is Denver's year.
