My Revenge of the Sith Trailer

I'm not sure if this would go here, or under "Other Projects", but a mod can feel free to move it. :)

This was hard to make! Used with Windows Movie Maker, Movie Maker only provides one extra audio/music track at a time (along with the current clip's built-in audio). Therefore, I couldn't have voiceovers and music at once if I put the audio together in Movie Maker. So, I created this entire trailer with audio only in Audacity, basing the music, dialouge, and sound effects on the images planned in my head. When all of that was done hours later, I imported the finished audio into Movie Maker as the music track, and then fit all of the footage to it (including the dialouge!).  I did my best to quiet the music in the original clips (with the exception of Qui-Gon's death music and the first war drums during the first Jedi Starfighter scene).

I am very happy with the final result. Enjoy!

Besides some of the music bleeding through, your idea was sound. I liked it.

Thanks!  I did the best I could with the music (except for Qui-Gon's death, that I just added to).  But I'm glad you liked it. :)

You should save up and get a real editor.... You have talent there.

I intend to.  But being only 17, saving up is kind of hard. haha

But thank you. :)

I liked when Shmi said "can you help him", and the it cut to Qui-Gons death.  Overall, it was very well put together.

very clever. and u do definitly have some talent. i love fan trailers so u should make more out of the other five. maybe make a saga trailer! i've tried and failed miserably.

Thanks, Ghost and rcb!

Rcb, in time, I do intend to do all 6, and then perhaps a saga trailer, too.  But a couple opinion questions for those:

1. Should I use the Force theme-BANG-Force Theme intro for all of them, for a saga-wide effect?  Or would that be too repetitive/lazy looking?

2. Should I use the Duel of the Fates finale for all of them, for a saga-wide effect?  Or would that be too repetitive/lazy looking (or should it be used only for the prequels)?

For the middle part of each, where most of the dialouge is, I'd have different music for each one.

I always thought it would have been cool to get a trailer that leaves out the fact that Anakin is turning to the Dark side. As if we did not know he became Vader. Make it seem as though the confrontation at the end of the movie is with Dooku.

That way if you are watching the movies in order it would kind of be a big surprise...( not really though for anyone who has heard of Star Wars)

I'm going to have to watch the rest of this later (terrible satellite internet. bleh)  but I wanted to mention that, when I used to mess around with Windows Movie Maker, I would get around the lack of audio tracks by rendering a version of the movie with as many audio fx I could fit in the first time around, and then open that movie up with Movie Maker.  After that, I would have an extra audio track to work with because all the audio from the first render would become consolidated into a single track. Just be sure to save different versions of your project as you progress.

There's a lot of room for improvement here. My issue with it is that you've, figuratively speaking, just shown me EVERYTHING that happens in the movie. Nothing is left to the imagination. You've got lengthy clips from every duel in the film. It plays more like a scene from Star Wars: A Musical Journey than it does a real trailer. Tighten things up a bit and I promise it will go a long way.

The official trailer kind of gave everything away, too, so I didn't think it would be that big of a deal.  I suppose  that the duel clips are a bit long at first, though I tried to make the clips continually get shorter and shorter as DOTF got more intense.

I'm going to make trailers for the others in time using the same audio set-up (minus the part with all the talking, that will have music from the respective film being featured).

Banana bread.

I'm sorry, I thought I was in the "things we hate" thread.

It was my way of saying "huh?" like you did, but done as a joke.  I didn't understand BmB's comment either.
