My AVCHD & HD2DVD Projects

Hi All,

I first and foremost want to send out a HUGE,GIGANTIC,SPECIAL Thank You to Adywan,without his help I would have never figured this shit out,and I knew once I did it once,all would be OK,well at least until I hit another kink LOL.

So I have now completed my first 2 projects,these are the titles:
Jessica Simpson's These Boots Are Made For Walkin (just had to do this,she is just to damn HOT in HD)
The Gate

I have tested both and they play on my PS3 and my Sony BDP-S350 both with the latest firmware.

Not sure if anyone here is even interested in some of these titles,seeing as how they are not Star Wars,but if there is any interest I will start to share my workings.
also if anyone has any HD .ts files they would like done,please by all means let me know,I do have alot of HD movies in .ts form,but definitely not all that are out there.

This is what I am currently working on now,maybe you can tell what movie it is by the screen grabs:

I also have plans to do these,maybe not in this order though:

Night of The Creeps
Sheena
Flash Gordon
The Legend of Billie Jean
and possibly Howard The Duck LOL

this is only a short list,I have more but I will see what happens next.

but all kidding aside,this is cool,I am doing up a sample of King Kong 76 now,maybe I will upload so you guys can try it out,just make sure to burn it to a DVD-RW so as not to waste a good DVD-r.

Night of the creeps will be released officially this October on DVD.

Well that is great news Creeps is finally getting an official release.

So is there any interest at all for The Gate AVCHD? I already can assume noone but myself want Jessica Simpson's These Boots video LOL.

I have hit some snags with Kong,but I will try to work them out,I knew this was going to smoothly,just had to hit a darn bump.

I hope you plan on doing ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK since the Optimum Blu Ray was a nasty rescale job and the HDTV rip doing the rounds is so much nicer.

And, if you're interested, I can point you towards a nice 1080i .ts source for E.T. - THE EXTRA TERRESTRIAL, the ORIGINAL unmolested version. The audio is only 2.0 but the DTS track from the DVD syncs up perfectly for the first 85% percent of the movie and then is maybe a frame or two out so some slight resyncing might be necessary there.

At any rate, I look forward to your results!

P.S. Hell yeah, I'm up for THE GATE in high def.

Griff Hell yea I am interested in ET,I think my little boy would really love that movie to,let me in on the hookup.

Hi. If I may... grain is a natural by product of film. Its usually digitally removed, at the expense of fine detail, from DVDs because its intricate textures present compression problems.

Its often left as is in high definition video because there is both the increased resolution and compression effeciency to deal with it.

You can read more on the subject, and hopefully discover why some 'grain is good' here.

I'm not a horror fan, but the mention of ET has me drooling.  Actually, I am not sure if I have any of your releases, DJ, but I have always thought it was awesome of you to make all of those rarities available.  Keep up the good work, it is appreciated!

The Original ET in 1080i?  I'm drooling as well.  What is the size of the file and where can I locate it (if you don't mind sharing that is)?

Also has Willow ever been shown in HD?  This is one that I would pay for!

I don't have ET,there are just to many RS links for me,I do NOT have the patience for that SLOOOOW ass downloading,so I won't be doing any ET project.

well The Gate is done,and so is my little sample project These Boots music video with Jessica Simpson(this was my 1st AVCHD test project)I took a little break to finish up Southland Tales The Cannes Cut for RB,and converted House III & House IV to NTSC,so I should be getting more done soon,I want to finish ALL 3 of the GOUT SW movies using g-force's script with a few tweaks to get these finished as well,and finally,this project is for me,I want to convert my Death Wish The Vigilante Collection to NTSC,all movies are in anamorphic widescreen and uncut,so I NEED THESE LOL.

So I am getting there.

Not yet,I wonder if it would be OK at Spleen,I personally do not see why it wouldn't when my HD2DVD was there.

you could start your own thread at linktalk ? uploading to RS is a lot better than seeding a torrent.

and with jdownloader premium AND free users can download very fast from RS now.
