Me too.
«No one is guilty of being born a slave. But the slave to whom not only aspirations for freedom are alien, but who justifies and paints his slavery in rosy colors, such a slave is a lackey and a brute who arouses a legitimate sense of indignation, disgust and repugnance.»
— Vladimir Lenin
I probably don’t prefer one over the other. Some aspects of the former are better than the latter and vice-versa. I know I prefer Ventress’ backstory in the Multimedia Project over the convoluted Nightsister nonsense.
Gods for some, miniature libertarian socialist flags for others.

Do you mean the whole 2002-2007 Clone Wars MMP, or just the 2003 animated series?
Either way there are a couple of threads on both (and more in the “Beyond the Original Trilogy” Index Thread):
• Clone Wars | Lucasfilm’s 2002-2007 EU multimedia project (2020 info post)
• 2003 Clone Wars vs 2008 The Clone Wars (2014 comparison thread)
I agree with Superweapon VII, Ventress was far more interesting in the 2003 Clone Wars.
As was Grievous, a far more menacing and awesome protagonist too.
Durge is a much underrated villain, but am also glad he didn’t appear in the 2008 series. The chances are they’d have screwed it up.
The 2003 series is the better instalment for me. With the characters in there being closer to their PT counterparts Some of the 2008 characters differ too much from the PT films, to the point they appear to be different people at times. Plus, the 2003 series is LOT of fun to watch, even 20 years later.
“In the future it will become even easier for old negatives to become lost and be “replaced” by new altered negatives. This would be a great loss to our society. Our cultural history must not be allowed to be rewritten.” - George Lucas
I prefer the 2003 Clone Wars MMP. Much more fun and entertaining to watch, and it didn’t screw up continuity and re-write history like the 2008 series often did.
“The thing about Star Wars is that there’s one universe” & “Everyone wants to know stuff, like, where did Mace get that purple lightsaber? We want to establish that there’s one and only one answer” - Leland Chee, Continuity Database administrator for Lucasfilm, aka ‘Keeper of the Holocron’, 2008.

Same here. 2002-2007 Clone Wars MMP is the highlight of the PT era to me. The quality of Matthew Stover’s ROTS novel is also up there, along with Republic Commando mini-MMP and the old Mandalorian lore (before the 2008 TCW retcons).
“Don’t tell anyone… but when ‘Star Wars’ first came out, I didn’t know where it was going either. The trick is to pretend you’ve planned the whole thing out in advance. Throw in some father issues and references to other stories - let’s call them homages - and you’ve got a series.” - George Lucas
We should define our terms and make a clear delineation as there were in fact two separate Clone Wars Multimedia Projects.
There was the original Clone Wars multimedia project from 2003-2005.
And then there was the Star Wars: The Clone Wars multimedia project from 2008-2020.
I know generally when people refer to “the multimedia project” they mean the former but try and google that and you get links for the latter instead.
