Hi all I am quite new here, been blown away with project 4k77. What are the most impressive film scan / restoration projects that exist? Also, as I understand most of them are only on spleen , is there a way to obtain them by donating or something?
I might be biased, but I’m going to say these Fantasia projects. Remember before 2021 there were basically no Fantasia projects that existed beyond simply adding back the censored scenes into the DVD or blu.

4K77, 4K80, and 4K83 are the most dynamically awesome regarding film scan projects who freely share to everyone. Most excellent of excellence!
Probably Empire Strikes Back 70mm i thought it was a lost cut for sure. My holy grail is a mag print of Star Wars 77 i dream someday it will happen.
That or THX 1138 will actually be preserved or American Graffiti.
4K83 No DNR is probably my favorite though. You would think it was an official release its very impressive.
